Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ as saying:
He who uttered these words:" Hallowed be Allah, and all praise is
due to Him," one hundred times a day, his sins are obliterated
even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.
(Muslim:2691)

7. Forgiveness of Sins
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Allah, the Exalted, and Glorious said: 'A slave
committed a sin and he said: O Allah, forgive my sin,' and Allah said:
'My slave committed a sin and then he realized that he has a Rubb
Who forgives the sins and punishes for the sin.' He then again
committed a sin and said: 'My Rubb, forgive my sin,' and Allah (SWT)
said: 'My slave committed a sin and then realized that he has a Rubb
Who forgives his sin and punishes for the sin.' He again committed a
sin and said: 'My Rubb, forgive my sin,' and Allah (SWT) said: 'My
slave has committed a sin and then realized that he has a Rubb Who
forgives the sin or takes (him) to account for sin. I have granted
forgiveness to my slave. Let him do whatever he likes".
(Bukhari: 7507)

9. Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their
souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all
sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
(Az-Zumar:53)

11. As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for
a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: Nor will Allah speak to
them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin):
They shall have a grievous penalty.

12. Allah forgives not (The sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He
forgives whom He pleases other sins than this: one who joins
other gods with Allah, Hath strayed far, far away (from the right)
(An-Nisa:116)

18. It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of
Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ said: “Fasting the day of ‘Ashura’, I hope, will
expiate for the sins of the previous year.”

If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will
remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble
entrance [into Paradise].
(An-Nisa:31)

21. Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Allah said, 'I am to
my slave as he thinks of Me, (i.e. I am able to do
for him what he thinks I can do for him).
(Bukhari:7505)

23. It is reported that Al-Hasan Al-Basri said: 'The believer does the best deeds yet is
most fearful [that his deeds will not be accepted]. If he were to spend a mountain
of wealth [in charity], he would not feel sure [of the reward] until he sees it. The
more righteous and pious he becomes, the more he fears. But the hypocrite
(munafiq) says, There are so many people, I will be forgiven, no problem.' So he
does wrong and evil deeds, yet holds foolish wishes about Allah."
-[Al-Dhahabi, Siyar A'lam Al-Nubakf 4:586.]

24. But this thought of yours which you did entertain concerning
your Lord, has brought you to destruction, and (now) have
you become of those utterly lost!”
(Fussilat:23)

26. Those who believed and those who suffered exile and fought (and
strove and struggled) in the path of Allah,- they have the hope of
the Mercy of Allah: And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful
(Al-Baqarah:218)

28. Ineffective Advice
Narrated Abu Wail:
Somebody said to Usama, "Will you go to so-and-so (i.e. `Uthman) and talk
to him (i.e. advise him regarding ruling the country)?" He said, "You see that
I don't talk to him. Really I talk to (advise) him secretly without opening a
gate (of affliction), for neither do I want to be the first to open it (i.e.
rebellion), nor will I say to a man who is my ruler that he is the best of all the
people after I have heard something from Allah s Apostle ." They said, What
have you heard him saying? He said, "I have heard him saying, "A man will
be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown in the (Hell) Fire, so that
his intestines will come out, and he will go around like a donkey goes
around a millstone. The people of (Hell) Fire will gather around him and
say: O so-and-so! What is wrong with you? Didn't you use to order us to do
good deeds and forbid us to do bad deeds? He will reply: Yes, I used to
order you to do good deeds, but I did not do them myself, and I used to
forbid you to do bad deeds, yet I used to do them myself.”
(Bukhari: 3267)

(O Allah!) O one who turns the hearts make my heart
steadfast upon Your Deen
(At-Tirmidhi:3522)

30. Fate when die
Abu Huraira (RA)s reported: When the soul of a believer would go out
(of his body) it would be received by two angels who would take it to
the sky. Hammad (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters)
mentioned the swetness of its odour, (and further said) that the
dwellers of the sky say: Here comes the pious soul from the side of the
earth Let there be blessings of Allah upon the body in which it resides.
And it is carried (by the angels) to its Lord, the Exalted and Glorious.
He would say: Take it to its destined end. And if he is a nonbeliever and
as it (the soul) leaves the body-Hammad made a mention of its foul
smell and of its being cursed-the dwellers of the sky say: There comes a
dirty soul from the side of the earth, and it would be said: Take it to its
destined end. Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ put a
thin cloth which was with him upon his nose while making a mention
(of the foul smell) of the soul of a non-believer.

31. It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ said:
“I see what you do not see, and I hear what you do not hear. The heaven is creaking
and it should creak, for there is no space in it the width of four fingers but there is
an angel there, prostrating to Allah. By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would
laugh little and weep much, and you would never enjoy women in your beds, and
you would go out in the streets, beseeching Allah.’”
(Ibn Majah:4190)

32. Fear Factor Impact
• When we find ourselves under intense pressure, fear
unleashes reserves of energy that normally remain
inaccessible. We become, in effect, superhuman.
• Under acute stress, the body's sympathetic nervous
system prepares the body for sustained, vigorous
action. The adrenal gland dumps cortisol and
adrenaline into the blood stream. Blood pressure
surges and the heart races, delivering oxygen and
energy to the muscles. It's the biological equivalent of
opening the throttle of an engine.

33. Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "When the funeral is
ready (for its burial) and the people lift it on their shoulders, then if the
deceased is a righteous person he says, 'Take me ahead,' and if he is not a
righteous one then he says, 'Woe to it (me)! Where are you taking it (me)?' And
his voice is audible to everything except human beings; and if they heard it they
would fall down unconscious . ”
(Bukhari:1380)

34. Impact of Deeds
Al-Miqdad (RA) reported:
Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, the sun
will come so close to people that there would be left only a
distance of one Meel". Sulaim bin 'Amir said: By Allah, I do not know
whether he meant by "Meel", the mile of the distance measure or
the stick used for applying antimony powder to the eye. (Messenger
of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ is, however, reported to have said:) "The people then
will be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some
up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to the waist
and some will have the bridle of perspiration (reaching their mouth
and nose) and, while saying this Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ pointed to
his mouth with his hand".

35. Your Company Helps
It is stated that Hasan Basri (r.a) was asked:
Abu Saeed , we sit amongst people who scare us and
shatter our hearts . What is the cure for this kind of
fear?
He replied:
It is best for you to sit amongst such people who
would lead you to a place of peace and comfort by
making you afraid as compared to the ones who
would lead you astray by telling you ( I.e., deceiving
you) of peace and safety.

36. Ibn Umar reported: I heard the Messenger of
Allah, ‫ﷺ‬ say, “Whoever exalts himself or carries
himself with arrogance, then he will meet Allah
while He is angry with him.”
(Musnad Ahmad:5959)

37. ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr who said: The Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ said:
“Whoever drinks alcohol and gets drunk, his prayer will not be
accepted for forty days and if he dies he will go to Hell. But if he
repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he again drinks alcohol
and gets drunk, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days and if
he dies he will go to Hell. But if he repents, Allah will accept his
repentance. If he again drinks alcohol and gets drunk, his prayer
will not be accepted for forty days and if he dies he will go to Hell.
But if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he commits
(this sin) again, then Allah pledges to make him drink the mud of
khabaal on the Day of Resurrection.” They asked, “O Messenger of
Allah, what is the mud of khabaal?” He said, “The juices of the
people of Hell.”
(Ibn Majah: 3377)

38. On the Sirat Bridge
…Then a bridge will be laid over the (Hell) Fire." Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ added, "I will be the
first to cross it. And the invocation of the Apostles on that Day, will be 'Allahumma Sallim,
Sallim (O Allah, save us, save us!),' and over that bridge there will be hooks Similar to the
thorns of As Sa'dan (a thorny tree). Didn't you see the thorns of As-Sa'dan?"
The companions said, "Yes, O Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬." He added, "So the hooks over that
bridge will be like the thorns of As-Sa-dan except that their greatness in size is only known
to Allah. These hooks will snatch the people according to their deeds. Some people will be
ruined because of their evil deeds, and some will be cut into pieces and fall down in Hell,
but will be saved afterwards, when Allah has finished the judgments among His slaves,
and intends to take out of the Fire whoever He wishes to take out from among those who
used to testify that none had the right to be worshipped but Allah. We will order the
angels to take them out and the angels will know them by the mark of the traces of
prostration (on their foreheads) for Allah banned the f ire to consume the traces of
prostration on the body of Adam's son. So they will take them out, and by then they
would have burnt (as coal), and then water, called Ma'ul Hayat (water of life) will be
poured on them, and they will spring out like a seed springs out on the bank of a
rainwater stream, …..

39. Unjust Dealings
Narrated Salim's father (i.e. `Abdullah):
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever takes a piece of
the land of others unjustly, he will sink down the
seven earths on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Bukhari: 2454)

40. But when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened
to them the gates of all (good) things, until, in the midst of their
enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account,
when lo! they were plunged in despair!
(Al-An’aam:44)

41. Human, Duniya and
Akhirah
Fitna/Deception/Instant Gratification

43. Al-Mustaurad bin Shaddad (RA) reported:
Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "This world (i.e., its pleasures and duration) in
comparison with the Hereafter is (similar to the amount of water) one gets when
he puts his finger in the sea. Let him then see what it returns with".
(Muslim: 2858)

guidance under Our command, so long as they persevered

you can get

• Move from hopelessly romantic to hopefully in

door to make more enlightened choices in future
