Management
5. WHAT IS CHANGE MANAGEMENT?
Change management is defined as the methods and manners in
which a company describes and implements change within both
its internal and external processes. This includes preparing and
supporting employees, establishing the necessary steps for
change, and monitoring pre- and post-change activities to ensure
successful implementation.
9. Change management model for making change work
In the beginning, it is important to create, or affirm, a broadly understood need for the change
(creating a shared need).
It is equally important to create and share an idea of what the outcome will look like (shaping a
vision).
Throughout the change effort, there must always be sufficient resources dedicated to it
(mobilizing commitment).
There must be a way to track the change efforts (monitoring progress).
A person or team must ensure that the change reaches completion (finishing the job).
From the very beginning until the end, the change effort must have the backing of management,
and leadership from an accountable person or people (leading change)
19. Innovation Management
Innovation management as a term, refers to a systematic learning process
aspiring to create, identify, refine and implement new value creating ideas then
to address perceived challenges and exploit opportunities that have risen or are
about to rise in the future.
In other words, it simply means having a systematic approach for making the
organization constantly better in the long run.

32. What is Executive Coaching?
According to the International Coach Federation (ICF),
coaching is defined as a partnership with clients in a thought-
provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize
their personal and professional potential. Coaching is a client-
driven process that’s distinct from other service professions,
such as counseling, mentoring, consulting and training.

43. Alignment of
strategy and
control systems
“To be strategic is to concentrate on what is important, on
those few objectives that can give us a comparative
advantage, on what is important to us rather than others,
and to plan and execute the resulting plan with
determination and steadfastness.”
Richard Koch
44. Strategic alignment
'In its simplest form, organizational strategic alignment is lining
up a business' strategy with its culture'. Successful outcomes
also require an awareness of the wider environment,
regulatory issues and technological change. Strategic
alignment contributes to improved performance by optimizing
the operation of processes/systems, and the activities of teams
and departments.

53. What Is Accountability?
Accountable leaders lay a path for teams to follow and are
defined by being held answerable for accomplishing a goal or
assignment.
If it is approached correctly, accountability can allow you and
your team to produce positive, measurable results for your
business.
“Being an accountable leader takes courage and honesty,”
says executive leadership expert Leo Flanagan
