This document provides information about an induction event for new postgraduate research students starting in January 2020 at the Postgraduate Arts and Humanities Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University. The event will take place on January 20th in room RG12 of the Righton building and will include introductions to PAHC staff, an overview of PhD procedures, presentations from faculty about research support, a library introduction, and information about the research training program. Refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the day.

This is an informal introduction and welcome to PAHC, the postgraduate research centre in
the Arts and Humanities Faculty. We will discuss how you can get started with your research
and you will meet other students and staff.
Meet in room RG12. This is on the ground floor of the Righton building, to the left of the
stairs.
