1. Any way you look at it, Ultimate CNG is an impressive company. Its executive team is a
dream mix of energy industry know-how and business sense, and the idea to bring CNG to fleets
using a mobile fueling station is brilliant. The company is a technical wonder manned by
intellectual powerhouses. However, that could describe a lot of businesses. What sets Ultimate
CNG apart from the crowd is its commitment to clean energy and its partnership with Greater
Washington Region Clean Cities.
The jewel in the company’s crown is clearly the Fuel Mule. A self-contained, fast-
fueling, mobile unit that is able to deliver between six and eight gallons of CNG per minute.
Depending on their size and how much fuel they need, the Fuel Mule can service between thirty-
five and fifty fleet vehicles.
The Fuel Mule has a history of working in rough conditions. The only fleets that kept
going after Hurricane Sandy destroyed millions of dollars’ worth of infrastructure were those
that ran on CNG. When those fleets that ran on fossil fuels were sitting with empty gas tanks, the
Fuel Mule brought gallons of CNG to keep the alternative fuels operating.
During the ACTExpo, the truck was brought in to the convention center and put on
display. Visitors to the Ultimate CNG booth got to see it in person. If given half a chance, the
company’s owners, Dennis Pick and Brian Fimian, would talk for an hour about their baby. It
didn’t take much prompting for them to open the side doors of the truck. Visitors got to see the
inside of the Mule, everything that makes it tick. Business cards went flying.
It’s very clear the executive team is excited about their business and eager to share
information about the Fuel Mule. Their backgrounds in business and the energy industry have
given the company a solid foundation to work with.
