Overseas based players confirmed for World Cup Qualifier Match against
Haiti.
ST. GEORGE’S, August 26, 2015 – The
Grenada Football Association (GFA)
has acquired the services of three (3)
foreign based players for their upcoming
2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifier
game against Haiti in Grenada on
September 4 at the National Cricket
Stadium.
Midfielder Anthony Straker who plays
for York City will dawn the Grenadian colors along with Defender David Cyrus
who has previously played seven matches for Grenada. The other player is
Defender Aaron Pierre who plays professional football with English Club
Wycombe Wanderers F.C.
Negotiations continue for one more foreign based player.
Andre Munroe who is the coach of local outfit Hurricane FC has elevated to head
coach for the Spice Boyz while Anthony Modeste serves a misconduct ban.
Meanwhile, tickets for the home game against Haiti go on sale this week and prices
are as follows: $15 – Posse Stand, $20 Rawle Lewis/Junior Murray Stand and $30
– Main Stand.
Haiti will arrive in the island on Tuesday ahead of Friday’s game which kicks-off
at 4:15 pm.
