Symptomsinclude anexcessiveneed foradmiration,disregardforothers'feelings,aninabilitytohandle
any criticism,anda sense of entitlement. OnthisApril 1,2016 I am still prayingforYOU and thinkingwe
have the same Bible. Ido hope that YOU rememberthe promisesthatYOU made to me one day.
Narcissisticabuse mayalsooccur inadult-to-adultrelationships,wherethe narcissisticpersontendsto
seekouta successful (independent,educated,andattractive) and empathicpartnerinordertogain
admirationof ownattributes - narcissisticsupply.The narcissistcreatesadynamicabuserandvictim
relationshipthroughacycle of abuse resultingin traumaticbondingthatmakesithard fortheirpartner
to leave the increasinglyabusive relationship. The narcissists'relationshipsare characterizedbya
periodof intense involvementand idealization of theirpartner,followedby devaluation,anda rapid
discardingof the partner.[26]
At the beginningof arelationshipwithanarcissist,the partnerisonlyshown
the ideal self of the narcissist,whichincludespseudo-empathy,kindness,and charm.Once the partner
has committedtothe relationship(e.g.,throughmarriage ora businesspartnership),the true self of the
narcissistwill begintoemerge.The initial narcissisticabuse beginswithbelittlingcommentsandgrows
to contempt,ignoringbehavior,adultery, sabotage,and,attimes,physical abuse.[24]
Atthe core of a
narcissistisa combinationof entitlementandlow self-esteem.These feelingsof inadequacyare
projected ontothe victim.If the narcissisticpersonisfeelingunattractivetheywill belittle theirromantic
partner'sappearance.If the narcissistmakesanerror, thiserrorbecomes the partner'sfault.[27]
Narcissistsalsoengage ininsidious, manipulativeabuse bygivingsubtlehintsandcommentsthatresult
inthe victimquestioningtheirownbehaviorandthoughts.Thisistermed gaslighting.[28]
Anyslight

once the narcissisticsupplyisobtainedelsewhere.Inromanticrelationships,the narcissisticsupplycan
be acquiredbyhavingaffairs.The newpartnerisin the idealizationphase andonlywitnessesthe ideal
self;thusonce againthe cycle of narcissisticabuse begins.Narcissistsdonottake responsibilityfor
relationshipdifficultiesandexhibitnofeelingsof remorse.Insteadtheybelieve themselvestobe the
victiminthe relationship.

engagedinyourjob,findthe workstimulating,andsee the possibilityof advancementwithintwoor
three years,itmightbe worth “the sacrifice”tostay, he adds.But if you findyou’re workingfora
