Hot Water High-Pressure Cleaners
Cleaning with a Kärcher hot water high-pressure cleaner can play an integral
part in protecting against infections such as EHV-1, swine dysentry and
salmonella. Hot water also cuts through mud and grease with ease and can
reduce cleaning time by up to 40%. Hot water also accelerates chemical
processes helping detergents to work more quickly.
Kärcher’s eco!efficiency mode offers more economical and environmentally friendly
cleaning, even during long periods of use. Simply select eco!efficiency mode on the
machine to optimise burner cycles and reduce fuel consumption by as much as 20%
(compared to full-load operation at 80ºC).

Ideally use water heated to
at least 60ºC to assist with
the breakdown of oils. This
removes oil and grease residue
leaving the surfaces exposed
to ensure the disinfectant will
have maximum effect when
applied.
Three: Rinse detergent with
hot water.
Set the machine water
temperature to 100ºC. This
extreme hot water will add
to the cleaning effect and
improves drying time.
Four: Allow unit to stand and
dry for 7 – 10 days.
Five: Apply disinfectant using
cold water.
Kärcher, is supporting the British Pig Executive (BPEX), an organisation representing pig levy
payers in England and a division of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, in
their quest to improve herd health and combat endemic disease.
The Kärcher Deep Clean Protocol can be used for
keeping any animal housing clean, however it is
especially useful in a destock situation. Here it
ensures the cleanest possible environment given
the time and resources available, allowing the
maximum time possible for buildings to rest – the
drying out and resting stage before restocking is
critically important in killing any remaining
disease-causing bacteria by desiccation.
