Wall of Gratitude – What are you thankful for?
We would like to fill up the door between reception and the
coffee lounge with lots of post-it notes of things you are
grateful or thankful for. It could be anything such as: “I am
grateful for the charity tuck shop, 3pm on a Friday when I need
a chocolate fix” “I want to thank Emma for her hospitality
today” or “Thanks for the reminder Wendy”. We all could be
better at giving our thanks and ‘Giving’ and ‘Taking Notice’ are
two of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
Lunchtime BootCamp – possible
reoccurrence every Monday
during October
How handy would it be if you
could exercise at lunchtime and
not have to go to a gym! Join Joe
Davies for a lunchtime BootCamp
class in the Garden at Prom
House. The session is for all levels
and abilities. We hope it will be
popular and if so Joe may make it
a regular event. Please wear
suitable clothing and trainers.
Wednesday 7th October Strider Cup Challenge Talk
Find out more about this exciting running challenge. Please note this is just a talk to
gauge interest, you will not actually be doing the challenge! The Strider Challenge in a
nutshell: You will be in a team of three, run a route of 5K, each person in the team sets a
time and the average time is taken, the team with the best average time wins. Everyone
sets off from the observatory and runs a pre agreed route.
11. 6 Minute - Tai Chi
Originally conceived as a martial art, Tai Chi is
practised for both its defence training as well as its
health benefits. Most Tai Chi schools and their forms
can be traced back to one of five traditional schools,
Yang being one of them.
Come along to have a go at the Tai Chi Yang Style short
form which is only 6 minutes long and will hopefully
leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. This will be an
outside event so will go ahead weather permitting.
Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothes and
shoes.
Due to popular demand Willow Chiropractic business
based in The Berkeley Health Centre will be visiting the
Bristol Office offering a free visual and interactive
diagram which we use to show people how they stand
and how this may be related to any aches or pains they
may have. Book a 10minute slot at reception.
An Evening of Wellbeing, including a Tea Tasting Clinic
You and a friend, partner or relative are invited to
attend what promises to be a fun evening of Wellbeing,
where you have a chance to find out how to optimise
your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing so that
you can flourish in every aspect of your life.

sketching or haven’t done any drawing for a while and
would like to re-ignite your interest? If you are, then
come along. We propose to do a few medium length
studies and one long study during the session. No need
to bring supplies as these will be provided, but to make
the session more interesting, please bring along an item
or object of interest that you or others would enjoy
doing a study of.
Zen Yoga & Mindfulness
Maybe you have never tried
Yoga before and would like to
or maybe you love Yoga and
would welcome the
opportunity to do more of it.
Either way book yourself on
this morning Yoga session and
start your day in a unique way.
Spaces are limited, so book
now.
Men that Talk with Chris Birdee-Wright
We all lead busy lives cramming as much as we can into our days, but when was the
last time you stopped, looked and listened to yourself and those around you?
As a child, I always remember my mum sitting around a table with her friends, sharing
food, thoughts and feelings about things going off in their lives, but my dad with his
mates….never! Why is that? Why don’t we sit around a table with other guys and
openly talk about stuff? Is this taboo? Should men really talk about their emotions?
The workshops aim is to be able talk about these very issues, to stop for a moment, to
be aware of what’s happening within yourself and others around you and more
importantly, to listen…without judgement.
