1. The JUNIOR Junior Welfare League
Young, but Strong
FACT SHEET
Our Mission:
Founded by the Junior Welfare League of Huntington in 2010, the JUNIOR Junior Welfare League
(JJWL) is a hands-on charitable club for girls in grades 6-12. The goal of the JJWL is to light a spark
of volunteerism in its young members and to teach them that helping others in our community is not
just a responsibility but also a privilege. Like its parent organization, the JJWL is grass roots club with
100% of funds raised going straight back to the community to directly benefits our neighbors in need.
Join Us!
Membership dues are $20 per year with the year running from September to May. Dues are used to
purchase supplies for various service projects, with the remaining of the funds donated to a cause
selected by the JJWL. Members are encouraged to participate in as many service opportunities the club
offers, but are required to participate in at least 3 projects. A service opportunity is offered
approximately twice a month.
