1. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GMAT & GRE
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores are required to get admission to a business
school. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is for the general graduate school other than business
school. All MBA programmes require GMAT scores.
Before opting for any of these tests check with your program coordinator to see what is accepted.
GMAT- has four separately timed sections
namely analytical writing, Assessment
quantitative section and the verbal
section
GRE- The test has three sections of
Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning, and
Quantitative Reasoning
GMAT & GRE are both computer-based
tests, for GRE PBT is offered in areas
where computer-based testing is not
available
Test time for GMAT is 3½ hours for GRE it
is 3 hours.
GMAT fee is the US $ 250 and GRE fee is $
190 including evaluated reported
Both the tests are valid for 5 years
Reasoning for GRE can be done up to
three months after your test date
whereas for GMAT it can be made within
six months of your test date
Score for GRE ranges from a score scale of
260-340.Analytical writing score
represents on a 0-6.GMAT score ranges
from 200-800 a percentile rank for all four
sections
GMAT math is tougher, GRE verbal section
is tough
