2. • Canadian study visa is generally known as study
permit. After your admission form is processed and you
got your Confirmation/offer letter from a recognized
Canadian intuition, the next main task is to apply for a
study permit.
• Some exceptional cases are there where you don’t
require a Canadian study permit and they are:
– If the duration of your course/program is less 6 months,
then you do not require a study permit.
– If you are a dependent of staff/member of a foreign
representative to Canada accredited by Global Affairs
Canada (GAC), then you may be exempted from the
study visa application process.
– A foreign citizen who has a registered Indian status in
Canada, do not require Canadian study permit. 2
