PrtScn: copies the
screenshot to the clipboard
Windows + PrtScn takes a
screenshot, which is then
saved to the user’s
Pictures/Screenshots folder

• Another shortcut to remember is “ALT +
PrtScn,” which copies a screenshot of
the currently selected window to the
clipboard.
• We can use Snipping Tool for taking
screenshot and we can modify our
screenshot also by using that tool.
• You Can use Share Charm when you
want to take screenshot with Windows
8.1. It is easy and fast, but you have to
use Window Store app.

5. Mac OS X
• Using Command + Shift + 3 to take
screen shot in Mac OS X. It is saved in
Desktop.
• If you want to modify the saving area,
you can use Command + shift + 4
• you can constrain it by holding
down the “Shift” key.
• To make the position correctly,
using “Space”
• To exit, pressing “ESC” key

6. Android Devices
• Newer Android devices version 4
or higher, pressing “Power +
Volume Down.”
• You can find the screenshot in the
gallery of your android devices
• If you use earlier version, please
go to Google Play store and typing
screenshot you will see a lot of 3rd
party option of app.

7. iOS Devices (iPhones and iPads)
• To take a screenshot on an iOS device hold the “Power” button and press the “Home”
button.
• The screen will flash and your screenshot will be saved to your device’s internal storage,
which you can then view, edit, and share using the Photos app.

8. Third Party Alternatives
• Using Third-Party app to take screenshot. Those app are working with screenshot
process of your devices. For example, if you use android, you can go to Play Store and
search for screenshot app. Just install and use it. Some Screenshot app may charge app
fee.
