3. What does autonomy means?
According to Holec (1981), defined autonomy as “…
the hability to take charge of one’s learning...”
4. While Little (1991) as the learner’s
psychological relation to the content and
process of learning, his or her capacity for
critical reflection, detachment, decision
making and independent action.
5. Breen and Mann (1997), add that autonomous
learners must want to learn and develop a
metacognitive capacity that allows them to
handle change, negotiate, with others, and
make strategic use of learning environment.
6. An autonomous learner is “ one who solves
problems and develops new ideas through a
combination of divergent and convergent
thinking and functions whit minimal external
guidance in selected areas of “endeavor “
(Betts and Knapp, 1981)
7. In my own words, autonomous learner accept
that responsibility for their own learning. Is
motivated to learn in a range of learning
strategies, which can be applied in different
context.
9. There are some powerful reason like:
- I’m willing to take risks.
- I can know what and where is my opportunity
area.
- I can learn in visual learning style.
- I’m good to understand the text, identifying
the main ideas.
10. - I like the oral expressions when I’m teaching.
- I could be a leader in my context.
- I have perception, motivation, attitude,
creativity, wish, passion,
and social skills.
11. An autonomous learner experiences, creates
and transforms. His/her does have intention
and find the mechanisms to get there.
