GMC Architects engaged with the leaders of the Congregation
of West End Community Church to develop a Master Plan
for an entirely new campus of facilities for the newly planted
Presbyterian Church. The 35,000 square foot Phase One
includes a multi-purpose space that serves as the Worship
Center seating 900 members. Extensive lighting, audio,
and video systems provide the capability of precise musical
and theatrical productions. The recently completed 45,000
square foot Phase Two houses the Discipleship Center. The
Discipleship Center includes classrooms with the primary focus
on Children’s Ministries. The future Phase Three will provide a
permanent Worship Center seating up to 1,800 members, a
Fellowship Hall, a Youth Center, and additional Classrooms.
A significant feature of Phase Two is an Auditorium for
Children’s Ministries known as Transformation Station. This
space provides a tiered seating “mini-theatre” where creative
storytellers perform skits communicating the gospel “through a
Bible story, a Bible point, and an attribute of God”. Puppets,
lively characters, music, and video make up the entertaining
yet meaningful productions each Sunday.
