Participation in the investigation into defining a knowledge base in reference to the
already implemented ITIL managements.
Aside from the special projects mention below, responsible for day to day system
management for both AIX and OpenVMS systems, including (second/third line
support) incident management, Change Management, security reporting, system and
software upgrades, failover and disaster recovery, etc.
Member of the development and environmental team responsible for ensuring that
the functionality of the VMS systems was ported to the new AIX environment.
Senior role in the planning and replacement of business critical HP Alpha systems in
Leiden and several European plants.
Development of Emergency support procedures including security and SOX controls

Advisor in the selection of the site security and entrance registration system

Implemented the first Avery LAVC (Local Area Vax Cluster) in Leiden and later
assisted with the implementation at Avery Research Center Pasadena.
Implemented Apple Macintosh Network (Alisatalk).
Responsible for acquisition, management and maintenance of all R&T computers
(Digital and Apple).

Jr. Systems analyst/programmer 1979 – 1986
Programmed the proprietary message-switching system (FASNET) on several
platforms such as PDP’s, IBM system 34, system 36 and system 38’s (in Cobol,RPG
II) and AS/400 to interface with central IBM 4341.
Programmed a complete file-handling middleware interface in Marco-11 assembler on
PDP/11 systems.
