About AIESEC
AIESEC in Estonia 14.15

About LEAP
LEAP is an initiative powered by AIESEC in Estonia, first time organised in
2015. The event aims to create an interactive space for Estonian students,
startups and investors to exchange knowledge, validate ideas and
potentially upscale their businesses either through talents or acquisitions.
"
What makes LEAP truly unique is the interactive learning environment
prompted by the encounter of different sectors within startup ecosystem.
This generates a wide range of opportunities for not only the event
participants but also for Estonian society.
"
LEAP is an official event in the annual ICT week of Estonia happening from
8th - 15th May 2015, full of events related to entrepreneurship for Nordic
and Baltic entrepreneurs and investors.
"
We expect the attendance of 150 Estonian students, 50 Estonian startups
and many investors both Estonian and international from different
industries.
LEAP for Estonia
Estonia is known for the fastest growing startup community that has strived to
surprise the international network regardless of the country’s modest demographics
and conditions. The development of this sector has contributed to the shaping of
the business environment of Estonia and improving the competitiveness of the
country.
"
Nevertheless, we believe the story of Estonian startup success has not yet reached
its height. The change in demographics, international affairs and global
competitions question the position of the country as the startup nation. Estonian
startups reaching for success need a strong foundation of essential business skills
and market understanding to triumph the global startup scene.
"
For those mentioned reasons, LEAP 2015 wants to create a space of practical
learning and opportunities where answers for the growth of Estonia as a startup
nation emerge from interactions and actions taken among investors (both Estonian
and international), Estonian students and Estonian startups.
c

for
investors With the gathering of 50 Estonian startups and 150 bright
students, LEAP is the place to understand the Estonian
business environment, witness the upraising of
entrepreneurship in the country and spot opportunities for
investment, expansion or acquisition.
"
For companies with intention to expand to Estonia, LEAP is
the place to establish the very first brand awareness,
which shall lay further stepping stones for the market
penetration.
for
startupsLEAP is the place for Estonian startups to obtain essential
hand-on skills, learn from successful entrepreneurship
stories of our international speakers and upscale their
businesses through hiring young talented students coming
from our participants.
"
For startups seeking for funding, the interactions with
investors shall be the opportunities to obtain the needed
contacts or negotiations.
for
students
LEAP is the place for Estonian students to sharpen their
ideas through teamwork and gain useful insights about
the startup sector - their future employers.
"
For ambitious ones, LEAP is the place to start building a
business with ideas and network from different startups
and investors.
