Understanding The Creative Learning Center
The creative learning center model began decades ago
to provide the best learning environment to children and
individuals diagnosed with such neurological disorders
like autism at an early age. The activities include
formation of groups to aid in social development,
summer camps, speech therapy, occupational therapy
and intervention programs for relationship
development. There are clinic and home based ABA
services after the children pass their eligibility tests.
Seminars and training are hands-on and are delivered by
accredited para-professional in conjunction with the
teachers and parents. The mission of the program is to
offer a different approach to cognitive growth during the
crucial developmental phase of the child. Children are
offered quality morning and evening care in an
innovative and controlled environment. This sharpens
their skills and knowledge before they are of school
going age.
The focus is to nurture the body, mind and soul and
ensure holistic growth. The creative spirit and curiosity
in every child are harnessed such that the child remains
thirsty for knowledge. It gives the children an open and
more curious mind to keep pursuing knowledge in life. It
is such preparation that ensures that children become
the best in all the activities they engage at school or at
home.
Language sessions are by qualified and accredited
personnel with formal certification. The sessions are
combined with art and craft to raise their levels of
creativity and make them innovative. The children grow
as confident individuals and begin to chase victory at a
young age. Appropriate and adequate training and
games materials are provided.
Diverse subjects are included in the curriculum to ensure
an all rounded individual. They include preparation and
cooking of simple foods, music, dance, movement,
nature and science. Pupils engage in sensory and
dramatic plays which instill cooperation. There are field
trips to various destinations with the aim of increasing
exposure at an early age. The resulting graduate is
mature in body, mind and soul.
Initial and continuous assessment places the children in
groups where focus and attention are given according to
their ability. The groups are designed by a team of
professionals that includes behaviorists, teachers and
other social experts. They place them in classes where
their skills and abilities will be enhanced through
specialized attention. Applied Behavior Analysis is
carried out supporting self regulation and instilling a
sense of independence.
Preschool children are taken through an inclusion
program that focuses on readiness for school work and
incidental lessons. The program for kindergarten
children is both academic and play-based with a healthy
student to teacher ratio. It includes such programs as
computer access, recreation, drama and music. Qualified
speech therapists aid the children in developing their
language and interaction skills. Each child gets an
individualized program with personal and specific
objectives.
Creative learning center harness the natural ability of
the child to acquire as much knowledge and information
as possible. It seeks to feed the curiosity in the young
minds with the aim of ensuring that the child grows with
self worth and confidence. The child has a natural spirit
to discover, solve problems and think independently.
