government aided schools. The government has taken significant steps to improve education for children.
How we do it
GoldenTalentFoundation hastakenthe next step in adopting 10 schools and 4 Club in Chennai to improve the
quality of sports development which will benefit about 800 students in phase 1. Golden Talent Foundation’s
support– alreadyunderway –towardsimproving the quality and delivery of sports capabilities in government
schools and government aided School include:
 Critical assistance inmaintenance of sportsinfrastructure facilitiesinschools
 Improvingthe sporting skillsof studentswholackbasicslike technique, fitnessandendurance, through
regularcoachingand alternative teaching-learningmethodologies
 Maintainingastudent-Coachratioof 18:1 by recruitingadditional coaches
 Developingskilledcoachesandinspiringthemtoparticipate willinglyforthe students’development
 Organize WorkshopswithOlympiansandNational championsontheirAchievements
 Developingthe students’body,mindandspiritthroughsports,creativeartsandhealtheducation
programs
The project team initially made visits to the schools in the proposed target area. They had very detailed
discussionswiththe respective school physical teachers.Basedonthe potential forexpansionandavailability of
play ground and sports facility, the following schools were selected for implementing the project in Phase I.
