Come let’s see the world through the eyes of a child and drop the barriers that we put around ourselves. It’s the time to experience the joy of running once again.

SUKARYA AND THE DELHI HALF MARATHON Volunteers who believe in the causes that we stand for, pledge and participate in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM) representing themselves and/or their Organizations, running to support the causes of Sukarya Sukarya raised Rs 7,17,300 through 4 corporate teams, 3 from the Bird Group and 1 from HCL Infosystems Ltd. Sukarya raised the HIGHEST funds by an NGO in Corporate Challenge in 2006 and Second Highest in 2007 and 2008.

You can contribute towards any one or more of the following activities : </li></ul><ul><li>To expand the outreach of the mobile health diagnostic clinic services to un- </li></ul><ul><li>served and underserved communities in remote villages of Mewat and Gurgaon </li></ul><ul><li>districts in Haryana. </li></ul><ul><li>Under Health and Development, Sukarya is extensively working on </li></ul><ul><li>Reproductive Child Health as per the mandate of the National Rural Health </li></ul><ul><li>Mission. Sukarya needs support to implement reproductive child health </li></ul><ul><li>program focusing on strengthening antenatal and post natal services, </li></ul><ul><li>promoting institutional deliveries, nutrition and sanitation, awareness building </li></ul><ul><li>on family planning and sustaining anaemia prevention interventions. </li></ul><ul><li>Under child health, Sukarya looks for support to increase the immunization </li></ul><ul><li>coverage and implement specific interventions to reduce malnutrition among </li></ul><ul><li>children </li></ul><ul><li>Under the adolescent health, Sukarya needs support for implementing projects </li></ul><ul><li>on adolescent health, reducing the prevalence of RTI/ STI and HIV. </li></ul><ul><li>cont………… </li></ul>
  16. 22. <ul><li>To support training of existing women self help groups (SHGs ) in specific micro </li></ul><ul><li>enterprise activities for livelihood enhancement and for expansion of SHG </li></ul><ul><li>program to promote new groups. </li></ul><ul><li>To run vocational training programs for adolescent girls and young women to </li></ul><ul><li>help them become economically self-reliant by providing them skill-training in </li></ul><ul><li>certain marketable vocations and micro-enterprises. </li></ul><ul><li>To run life skills program for adolescent girls which aims to empower and </li></ul><ul><li>enhance the overall status of adolescent girls and young women by helping </li></ul><ul><li>them develop navigation skills such as interpersonal skills, decision making, </li></ul><ul><li>negotiation skills, stress management (mental health) to effectively cope with </li></ul><ul><li>complexities of life through a better engagement of their self with their </li></ul><ul><li>environment. Education especially on ‘reproductive health’ covering issues </li></ul><ul><li>such as sexual health, marriage, family planning, parenthood and related </li></ul><ul><li>aspects form an important sub-set of the life skill program. </li></ul>

The run is won even before it’s finished Corporate Challenge is a competitive yet fun platform for companies to register and compete as a corporate team and raise money for charities, while fostering camaraderie and team spirit at the same time.   Even those who don't fancy running can get involved with supporting their colleagues, helping them fundraise and coming along to cheer them on race day

  20. 27. <ul><li>CORPORATE CHALLENGE </li></ul><ul><li>Corporate that contribute a minimum of Rs. 2,25,000 lakhs plus the Event Registration Fee (as applicable) each and send upto 30 employees to participate in the event. </li></ul><ul><li>A corporate signs up by filling the Corporate Challenge Form and making an upfront, non-refundable contribution of Rs. 2,25,000 and the Event Registration Fee (as applicable). </li></ul><ul><li>Out of Rs. 2,25,000 Lakhs the charity partner retains 12.5% towards admin. expense, and the rest goes to the charity. </li></ul><ul><li>The Event Registration Fee for the 30 runners is according to the running category i.e. Rs. 300 for GDR and Rs. 600 for HM. </li></ul>
  21. 28. <ul><li>CORPORATE CHALLENGE Cont…. </li></ul><ul><li>The individual 30 runners running as a part of the Corporate Challenge will </li></ul><ul><li>automatically be treated as I Pledgers </li></ul><ul><li>These Individual team members can raise pledges for any NGO/cause of their </li></ul><ul><li>choice. The charity partner retains 5% or Rs. 5000/-, whichever is lower, of </li></ul><ul><li>the pledges raised </li></ul>
  22. 29. <ul><li>MODALITIES </li></ul><ul><li>Two separate cheques need to be drawn by the corporate for registration: </li></ul><ul><li>Rs. Two lakhs and Twenty Five Thousand , drawn in favour of Concern India Foundation </li></ul><ul><li>Participation fee calculated at @ Rs. 300 (for the Great Delhi Run) or @ Rs. 600 (for half Marathon) drawn in favour of Procam International </li></ul>
