We give a warm welcome to you especially if this is the first time you’ve
visited us. We trust you will experience God’s loving presence in our worship
today and we pray that you will find encouragement in God’s word.
Julie John leads our service this morning. Continuing the series on
Discipleship entitled ‘Follow my Leader’, Paul John speaks on ‘Jesus
reinstates a follower’ (John 21).
Following the service this morning there will be a short meeting
in the Dixon Suite, to discuss the worship at GFEC. Everyone is
welcome to attend.

Next Sunday, 4th
May, please stay on following the
morning service and join us for a shared ‘curry’ lunch.
After lunch, Charlotte and Stephanie will give a short
presentation and share with us about their recent trip
to India with BMS. A team of GFEC folk have offered
to provide the food, all you need to bring is soft drinks of your choice
and a hungry tummy! To give an idea of numbers for catering purposes,
please sign the sheet at the back of the church if you plan to stay for
lunch (or email Steph and let her know).
Next Sunday
10:30 am: Commencing a new series from the book of James entitled
‘Developing a faith that works’; Pastor Paul John leads, and speaks on ‘Turn
your trials into triumphs’ (James 1:1-18). Sunday Club and Youth Group meet.
The morning service will be followed by a shared lunch and a presentation
(see note above).
There is a GFEC ‘Fellowship Tea’ at Cornerstone, 3-4 pm
on Saturday 3rd
May. Cornerstone will be open exclusively
for our use to meet together for fellowship. The usual
Cornerstone tea/coffee/cake selection will be available
to purchase. Everyone is welcome - please bring your
friends. Offers of help (to Katrina please) with drinks,
serving, till and pot wash greatly appreciated.
From 27th April to 10th May, please send any prayer chain
requests to Sarah Tippett as Lesley and Margaret will be away.
Congratulations to Brian Thomas and Ken Hayward who
both celebrate special ‘0’ birthdays this week.
