2. About You!
Artist/Bio Statement
I never really was the artistic type when I was growing up. The only thing I did relating to the arts was uploading YouTube videos to my
own channel. That was during the phase when all tweens wanted to be famous YouTubers. I was very invested in video games, so my
channel was all about Halo and Minecraft. Even though I didn’t have much of a following, I still enjoyed broadcasting my work out
there.
All of that kinda reminds me of my radio experience in this class, but more elevated. In my segments, I did talk about video games, but
I also heavily focused on politics, pop culture, foreign affairs, current events, and many more topics. When I was uploading content on
my channel, there was no talking whatsoever. I didn’t really have a voice at that time. But after joining radio, I was able to express my
opinions on video games and many other subjects that I’m passionate about.
I’m grateful that I got to work alongside my close friends who have similar interests and viewpoints as I do. It created a good
atmosphere and our conversations allowed me to feel confident in expressing myself.
3. Charlie’s Native American
Project
In this Project I talked about Jason
Momoa and his contributions to the Native
American community living in Hawaii.
I liked this Project Because I got to learn
about the Native American community
living in Hawaii. I learned that the Native
Americans in Hawaii fought back against a
massive telescope that was supposed to
be built on a very spiritual Mountain on big
island.
4. Charlie’s Women's
History month Project
In this Project I talked about Anne
Frank, a little girl who was murdered
in the Halocaust.
This Project made me sad because
there was no “happy” end like my
other projects. It was just a little girl
getting murdered by Nazi’s.
5. Charlie’s Black History
Month Project
In this project I talked about
Frederick Douglass and his
famous escape from slaveru
The process of this project was
fairly straight forward. I just
found audio pieces and wrote a
script. I liked this project
because I like frederick douglass
7. Radio General Reflection (150-350 words)
Radio General Reflection (150-350 words)
My time in radio this year was a rollercoaster. Our class experienced a lot of change throughout the first semester. Igaz
was a great addition to our class during the fall semester. I really liked how he helped me on my assignments. He also taught me how
to write about my interests in an entertaining way. He told me to list my hobbies and go through the specifics about why I enjoyed them.
This lead to my segments being about video games, but I also heavily focused on politics, pop culture, foreign affairs, current events,
and many more topics. When I was on-air, I was able to express my opinions on video games and many other subjects that I’m
passionate about. It gave me a voice and a platform that I haven’t really got to experience before.
Although this year in radio was a bumpy road, I appreciate being able to work with my friends on-air. Being on the radio was the most
fun thing about this class. The side projects were kinda meh to me, but I understand the value of them.

To KCBS,
The purpose of this letter is to apply for the assistant producer position you have posted on the Bay Area Video Coalition jobs board. An excellent
candidate for this position would have a strong understanding of research methods, event coordination, and project organization. In addition, the right
candidate for this position should also have knowledge in video and audio production.
As an on-air radio personality, my previous experiences have given me the skills of using programs such as Audacity.
KCBS is a great news company that uses its platform to tell breaking news. I believe that as an assistant producer, I could bring a diverse set of
technical and interpersonal skills. In return, I can further develop my knowledge and experience while working with your team. I’m interested in
discussing this opportunity further. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so I can learn more about the position. I look forward to hearing from
you soon.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Charles Cunningham.
