1. Diagnostic Process (Laptop)
Begin diagnostic process by (PXE) booting from black diagnostic cable. Press (F12) key
repeatedly after powering-on computer.
Next, the Unisys Diagnostics Menu will appear on a blue screen. Select #3 Win PE 2.0. The
download of Win PE 2.0 will lead you to “HP PC Bios Update Utility”.
Enter Laptop number, select model, and press any key to activate HPQ Flash Wizard. Press
NEXT to confirm flash.
In command line console, if necessary, type:
a. diskpart
b. sel vol 1
c. clean
d. exit
Laptop will then reboot. Allow Unisys UltraX Diagnostics Tool to run selection #2.
Test keyboard to conclude UXD. After Unisys keyboard test, follow screen prompts to gray
Unisys screen, then power-off laptop and insert HP Diagnostic flash drive.
Power-on and press (F2) key repeatedly to begin. (HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI)
Select System Tests, Extensive Test, and Run Once. When System Extensive Test is passed
return to Main Menu.
Then select, Component Tests, Keyboard, Run Once, English, Compact Layout or (Full Layout for
Developer laptops), #1, and select Pass when finished.
Exit from Main Menu and press F10 (Bios Setup) to finalize diagnosis. After reaching HP Setup
Utility go to security and select System ID’s. Check and scan Asset Tag and Ownership Tag, if
needed. Press (F10) to accept changes.
2. When tests are concluded plug in blue network cable and make sure you can (PXE) boot from
Capital One network by pressing (F12) to begin and (F12) at end of (PXE) to start network
download.
