2. OVERVIEW – WHAT IS
THE FBLA
• The Fordham Business & Law Association (FBLA) aims to
be a resource for students interested in the intersection of
business and law to pursue opportunities in Big Law, as in-
house counsels, or leading businesses.
• FBLA provides informative events and targeted networking
opportunities with Fordham alumni and attorneys in the
New York City area who work at major law firms or as in-
house counsel at large corporations.
• 120-150 active members (1L/2L)
• Email list reaches 700+ current students
• 250+ alumni connections

3. VISION
• Upcoming Events & Initiatives
• Presentations by Partners and Associates representing
business-related practice groups at major law firms.
• Firm visits where students will travel to firms during lunch to
learn from practitioners.
• Networking initiatives including mentorship between
upperclassmen/alumni with 1Ls.
• Collaboration with other Fordham Organizations
• Student organizations such as the Fordham Entrepreneur Law
Society, Real Estate Society and other affinity groups.
• Groups including the Corporate Law Center, Entrepreneurial
Law Program and Gabelli School of Business.

4. STRATEGY
• Expansion
• Integrate with the Gabelli School of Business, the Entrepreneur Law
Society, other affinity groups and seek sponsorship from major law
firms and corporations.
• Partnerships
• Partner with new law firms and in-house legal departments for
sponsorship opportunities.
• Form relationships with Fordham alumni associations.
• Perspectives
• Recruit speakers and host events that offer a broad range of
expertise and legal perspectives.
• Host off-site events at law firm offices throughout NYC.
• Host large-format seminars and conferences with multiple speakers

5. GETTING INVOLVED
• Sponsorships
• FBLA is seeking to expand our sponsorship program
with New York’s leading law firms to host events,
provide expert speakers, and help subsidize the cost of
our growing roster of events.
