Editor's Notes
The main equipment we need include: a 200 ton floating crane which we do not own, but we have secured one in case we are granted the project. This crane will be used primarily for the large-piles driving operations
3 floating cranes – one will install the capping beams for the approach trestle, the other will be involved with the platforms, while the third clamshell crane will perform the dredging.
3 tugboats will be serving the above fleet of floating cranes.
We have already conducted some preliminary drivability studies and have settled on using an IHC S-280.
…
Jackup Barge – in case we encounter rough waters and progress with the floating barges is delayed, we have conducted a market survey and have gone into detail regarding payloads, operating water depths, operating waves … and secured the use of a Jackup Barge.
This is the Hammer IHC S280 which has a one-month mobilization period. It will come with the appropriate sleeves for the various pile diameters and for the free-hanging operation.
