The Brazilian Association of Sports Industry estimates that 85 million Brazilians have practiced at
least one type of sports activity in 2015. Another research shows that 34% of the population
practice physical activities regularly.
Some popular physical activities / sports: jogging, fitness, soccer, voleyball, swimming, surfing,
among many others.
Brazil is the second country in number of fitness center: over 30,000 establishments, only behind
the USA.
Data from MEF reports that in Brazil, 26% of mobile users use applications to help the practice of
physical exercises, 14% manage an illness, and 21% for weight control. The same research shows
that 46% of Brazilian consumers are aware of wearables.
Brazil is the 4th biggest market for smartphones in the world. Brazil leads the mobile market in
Latin America, with 238.7 million connections
(active SIM cards) and 112 million users.

have better and faster access.
