PRIMARY EDUCATION PROJECT III
Primary Education Project III awarded by Education Department, Government of Punjab.
The Study on Teacher Competency and Teacher Training Certification was undertaken to
investigate the relationship between teacher performance in the primary classroom and
their training. The study was intended to recommend ways through which the linkage
could be improved between the demands made on the teacher in the primary classroom
and their training. Statistical analysis about 370 different tables was also developed.
STATISTICS OF SCHOOLS IN PUNJAB
Database was developed for Education Department, Government of Punjab, in which
65,000 questionnaires was entered from all over the Punjab province, the statistics
include data regards maktab, primary, middle, high & higher secondary school for male &
female. Sixteen tables were calculated for each Union Council, Tehsil, District, Division.
EDUCATION & HUMAN RESOURCES
Developed system in BASIC to carry out statistical analysis of 6500 educational
institutions study "Unit Cost of Education at Different Levels" awarded by P. & D.
Division, Govt. of Pakistan.
Accounting System: INTEGRATED ACCOUNTING SYSTEM FOR A GROUP OF INDUSTRIES
(As Project Manager) (Power Builder as front-end and MS SQL Server as a back-end)
Developed and implemented fully integrated industrial based accounting/financial
management system. The project was designed for tiles/ceramics based multi
companies group for creation and maintenance of paperless environment. The project
has three phases, which are listed below:
Phase-1 Accounting System External (GL, Sales, Purchase, Production, Inventory,
Fixed Assets and Payroll)
Phase-2 Accounting System Internal (GL, Sales, Marketing, Inventory and Management
Diary)
Phase-3 Accounting System Internal (Purchase, Import, Payroll and Fixed Assets)
All the documents i.e. Requirement Study, Functional Specification, Data modal and
Coding style sheet etc and software life cycle were prepared and completed under
international standard.
PURCHASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Developed industrial based Purchase Management System in private sector. The
module was designed to help the management for easy and efficient monitoring and
decision-making. The system guides the user and higher management to control the
performance of the supplier and purchase department by auto reporting, charting and
messages.
ACCOUNTING SYSTEM
General Ledger and Inventory Management System for an export based Sports
Company located at Sialkot.
ACCOUNTING SYSTEM (UNIX/ORACLE 6)
Computerization of a Sugar Mills, e.g. Financial Accounting and Management Accounting
system including Payroll, Store Accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable,
Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Costing and Cane Procurement System.
ACCOUNTING SYSTEM ON SYSTEM/36 (SSP/COBOL)
Developed and Implemented on-line MRT accounting and MIS system for a leading
group of industries on System/36 the package contains the following sub system and
their automatic interacting with each of the sub system:
a) General Ledger System. b) Store & Inventory System.
c) Accounts Receivable System. d) Accounts Payable System.
e) Pay Roll System. f) Fixed Assets System.
The system design is flexible and the programming is structured.
ACCOUNTING SYSTEM
Financial and Accounting System for MCL and did a parallel run for 3 months.
Billing System: UTILITY BILLING IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM
Took major part in the development of the new billing system for PTCL Lahore Region in
the capacity of Chief Programmer/Analyst in INFORMIX under UNIX. Worked as team
lead and implemented with conversion of Tape data of various PTCL exchanges.
Marketing Project: MARKETING MARGINS
Developed system of Marketing Margins study awarded by Ministry of Food &
Agriculture, GOP, financed by USAID to carry out marketing margin chain at different
level of market functionaries of selected crops in context of farming system and
ecological zones.
MARKETING SURVEY OF BAKERY PRODUCTS
Developed a system to carry out marketing analysis of Bakery Products and its
consumption
MARKETING SURVEY OF KHOA BASED PRODUCTS
Developed programs in dBase-IV to carry out Marketing/Economical analysis of Khoa
Based Products administered through Milk Marketing Board, UK.
Housing Schemes: ARMY OFFICERS HOUSING SCHEME
Developed a system to work out viability of Army Officers Housing Scheme. To review
the status of existing scheme of 6090 members and yearly new entrants of about 250
officers any preparing computerized retirement plan, construction plan, cash inflow and
cash outflow strategies. Cash flow position was required to be processed with zero
balance or negligible balance, as the scheme was no profit/loss basis.
SPACE STANDARDS
Space Standards Study for Govt. Officers & Housing in Urban Area awarded by P. & D.
Division for 3,000 Officers. The results were developed in tabular form regarding Space
Standards, family size and opinion on residents, maintenance and building condition.
OLYMPIAN CO-OPERATIVE HOUSING SOCIETY
Developed General Ledger & maintain Membership Register for an Olympian Co-
Operative H.S.
Admission System: COMPUTERIZED ADMISSION SYSTEM (DOS/BASIC)
Development an admission system for all Punjab Medical Colleges Contains following
subsystem.
Entry & Validation System: The entry & validation is done on-line, for making the
system fault proof double entry system is also incorporated.
ADMISSION SYSTEM OF HAILEY COLLEGE (NOVELL/FoxPro)
Computerized admission system of Hailey College for B.Com Classes.
Miscellaneous Projects: CONTRACEPTIVE PREVALENCE SURVEY OF FWC PROJECT AREA
(DOS/dBase)
A comprehensive database was designed & developed of above 3000 questionnaires
collected from all over Pakistan. The study awarded by Family Planning Associations of
Pakistan. Statistical analysis was carried out in MSTAT statistical package with respect to
various aspects of Family Planning such as:
o Current fertility & Prevalence of pregnancy o Cumulative fertility
o Breast feeding of the last child o Number of desired children
o Contraceptive knowledge o Attitude towards family planning
o Use of contraceptive methods o Source of supply of FP services
Regression analysis was also carried out on 8 independent and 3 dependent variables to
analysis the contraceptive prevalence. The project includes 200 different tables
developed in dBase IV.
IMPACT OF FARM MECHANIZATION ON PRODUCTIVE & EMPLOYMENT
(Dataflex)
Assisted in Linear programming for the analysis of impact of Farm Mechanization on
productivity and employment, the analysis was done on the lines drawn by USAID.
Database was developed in DATAFLEX package tabulation was prepared on SPSSPC.
SURVEY OF NGO’s (FoxPro)
Developed system to carry out analysis of NGO's. The following tasks were done.
 Printing of directory in three parts containing 8380 NGO's consisting of 1241 pages.
 Providing cell frequencies for the 234 tables as detailed below.
♦ 26 tables for profile of NGO's
♦ 102 tables for Govt. supportive and monitoring system.
♦ 106 tables for Analysis of NGO's
SURVEY OF AIDED NGO’s
Developed system to carry out analysis of Aided NGO's awarded by National Council of
Social Welfare, Govt. of Pakistan (Evaluative Research Study of the financial and
technical assistance Programming for the NGO's). 2000 questionnaires of NGO's aided
by NCSW collected from Sind, Punjab, Baluchistan, NWFP, Islamabad and Northern
Area.
CAPACITY UTILIZATION STUDY
Computerization of Capacity Utilization Study of industries in collaboration with Robert R.
Nathan Associates, Washington, in Basic and Lotus.
SHARES MAINTENANCE PACKAGE
Developed a maintenance system for sale/purchase of shares of several companies for
almost 90 shareholders trough 8 Brokers. The formatted outputs include portfolio,
investment, personal ledger, operating/non-op. share and Commission broker wise.

Accounting System: INTEGRATED ACCOUNTING SYSTEM FOR A GROUP OF INDUSTRIES (As Project Manager) (Power Builder as front-end and MS SQL Server as a back-end) Developed and implemented fully integrated industrial based accounting/financial management system. The project was designed for tiles/ceramics based multi companies group for creation and maintenance of paperless environment. The project has three phases, which are listed below: Phase-1 Accounting System External (GL, Sales, Purchase, Production, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Payroll) Phase-2 Accounting System Internal (GL, Sales, Marketing, Inventory and Management Diary) Phase-3 Accounting System Internal (Purchase, Import, Payroll and Fixed Assets) All the documents i.e. Requirement Study, Functional Specification, Data modal and Coding style sheet etc and software life cycle were prepared and completed under international standard. PURCHASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Developed industrial based Purchase Management System in private sector. The module was designed to help the management for easy and efficient monitoring and decision-making. ACCOUNTING SYSTEM ON SYSTEM/36 (SSP/COBOL) Developed and Implemented on-line MRT accounting and MIS system for a leading group of industries on System/36 the package contains the following sub system and their automatic interacting with each of the sub system: a) General Ledger System. b) Store & Inventory System. c) Accounts Receivable System. d) Accounts Payable System. e) Pay Roll System. f) Fixed Assets System. The system design is flexible and the programming is structured. ACCOUNTING SYSTEM Financial and Accounting System for MCL and did a parallel run for 3 months. Billing System: UTILITY BILLING IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM Took major part in the development of the new billing system for PTCL Lahore Region in the capacity of Chief Programmer/Analyst in INFORMIX under UNIX. Worked as team lead and implemented with conversion of Tape data of various PTCL exchanges. Marketing Project: MARKETING MARGINS Developed system of Marketing Margins study awarded by Ministry of Food & Agriculture, GOP, financed by USAID to carry out marketing margin chain at different level of market functionaries of selected crops in context of farming system and ecological zones. MARKETING SURVEY OF BAKERY PRODUCTS Developed a system to carry out marketing analysis of Bakery Products and its consumption MARKETING SURVEY OF KHOA BASED PRODUCTS Developed programs in dBase-IV to carry out Marketing/Economical analysis of Khoa Based Products administered through Milk Marketing Board, UK.
  • 5. Housing Schemes: ARMY OFFICERS HOUSING SCHEME Developed a system to work out viability of Army Officers Housing Scheme. To review the status of existing scheme of 6090 members and yearly new entrants of about 250 officers any preparing computerized retirement plan, construction plan, cash inflow and cash outflow strategies. Cash flow position was required to be processed with zero balance or negligible balance, as the scheme was no profit/loss basis. SPACE STANDARDS Space Standards Study for Govt. Officers & Housing in Urban Area awarded by P. & D. Division for 3,000 Officers. The results were developed in tabular form regarding Space Standards, family size and opinion on residents, maintenance and building condition. OLYMPIAN CO-OPERATIVE HOUSING SOCIETY Developed General Ledger & maintain Membership Register for an Olympian Co- Operative H.S. Admission System: COMPUTERIZED ADMISSION SYSTEM (DOS/BASIC) Development an admission system for all Punjab Medical Colleges Contains following subsystem. Entry & Validation System: The entry & validation is done on-line, for making the system fault proof double entry system is also incorporated. ADMISSION SYSTEM OF HAILEY COLLEGE (NOVELL/FoxPro) Computerized admission system of Hailey College for B.Com Classes. Miscellaneous Projects: CONTRACEPTIVE PREVALENCE SURVEY OF FWC PROJECT AREA (DOS/dBase) A comprehensive database was designed & developed of above 3000 questionnaires collected from all over Pakistan. The study awarded by Family Planning Associations of Pakistan. Statistical analysis was carried out in MSTAT statistical package with respect to various aspects of Family Planning such as: o Current fertility & Prevalence of pregnancy o Cumulative fertility o Breast feeding of the last child o Number of desired children o Contraceptive knowledge o Attitude towards family planning o Use of contraceptive methods o Source of supply of FP services Regression analysis was also carried out on 8 independent and 3 dependent variables to analysis the contraceptive prevalence. The project includes 200 different tables developed in dBase IV.

IMPACT OF FARM MECHANIZATION ON PRODUCTIVE & EMPLOYMENT (Dataflex) Assisted in Linear programming for the analysis of impact of Farm Mechanization on productivity and employment, the analysis was done on the lines drawn by USAID. Database was developed in DATAFLEX package tabulation was prepared on SPSSPC. SURVEY OF NGO’s (FoxPro) Developed system to carry out analysis of NGO's. The following tasks were done.  Printing of directory in three parts containing 8380 NGO's consisting of 1241 pages.  Providing cell frequencies for the 234 tables as detailed below. ♦ 26 tables for profile of NGO's ♦ 102 tables for Govt. supportive and monitoring system. ♦ 106 tables for Analysis of NGO's SURVEY OF AIDED NGO’s Developed system to carry out analysis of Aided NGO's awarded by National Council of Social Welfare, Govt. of Pakistan (Evaluative Research Study of the financial and technical assistance Programming for the NGO's). 2000 questionnaires of NGO's aided by NCSW collected from Sind, Punjab, Baluchistan, NWFP, Islamabad and Northern Area.
