DESCRIPTION: Managed the Hosting Provider relationship for National Gird’s US SAP application
- Functions included: Vendor Management, Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management,
Program Management, Capacity Rightsizing (Servers/Memory/Storage), Budgeting, Monthly
Billing Review/Approval, Contract Change Addendums, Incident Response/Resolution Tracking
IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (1999-2013),
DESCRIPTION: Held numerous PMO related positions within National Grid’s Global IT department
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Identification and prioritization of all US IS projects based on
ROI and related constraints (e.g., business goals, regulatory rulings, budgets, resource and timing for
internal and our global solutions providers’ resources). Headed-up three IS sanctioning committees
providing project review and approval processes for IS Global Infrastructure and US regional
projects. Oversaw maintaining and tracking of IS’s repository of projects to help predict and align
an ~1,000 person Global IS Department’s Human Resource needs (realized $3M annual reduction
per year in consulting fees/rates). Assisted business client areas in the identification, evaluation,
prioritization and tracking of IT-related business initiatives. Development and presentation of Client
Account Plans before the Corporate Finance Committee and Business Management Team
(Management of 2000 IT planning process resulted in a 20% ($20M) reduction from 1999 IT
spending. Further reductions of 7.5% ($6M) were achieved from 2000 to 2001.

DESCRIPTION: Headed up the implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
within the Customer, Customer Accounting, Billing, Metering and Credit & Collections areas
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Responsible for the development and maintenance of Customer
Accounting Billing & ancillary Accounting Systems (6 direct reports, $1.6 million budget).
Responsible for the accuracy of nightly production bills, as well as overseeing numerous subsystems
addressing billing of the utility's largest non-traditional electric & gas accounts. Presentation of Ash
Accounting Information System to ~2,000 people at Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Resource
Recovery Convention. Research and cost-benefit analysis for the contracting of Firm Gas delivered
to the Oswego Steam Station; which resulted in a $1.5 million savings over prior year contracts and
provided a $1.5 million savings each year thereafter. Responsible for the development, copyright,
marketing, and sales of Fuel Supply’s Executive Information System (EIS), Coal Information
System, and Oil Information System to Tennessee Valley Power Authority (TVA). Development of:
NMPC’s Fuel Supply System, encompassing 14 subsystems. [Note: This system saved several
thousands of man-hours for current and subsequent years.]

within the Customer Billing Systems area
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Coordination of Production CIS system - Electric, Gas &
Lighting Rate Changes. Rewrite of PASNY Billing System resulting in additional revenue of $2.7
million for 1991. [Note: Additional revenue of similar dollar amounts each subsequent year.
Calculation logic is still being utilized.] Implementation of a new Customer Billing System that
handled the billing of 1.5 million electric customers and .5 million gas customers. Analysis and
Coding for NMPC’s Plain Language Bill. Among the first in the United States to implement this
mandated Plain Language Bill format. Responsible for the development of the logic for the billing
and Scaleable Graphics output. [Note: This code was subsequently provided to three other electric
& gas utilities for their use.]
