2. Setting the Context
An iterative process beginning with the
identification of current issues in collaboration
teachers and learners, leading to planning a
plausible innovation, evaluation of its impact, and
reflecting on its outcomes for implications and
improvement as another cycle continues

LMS
“Before we would look for convenient places
during weekends to allow us to work together,
other groups would plan sleepovers which are
usually questioned by parents considering our
safety since we are high school students. But
using the system, such limitations are provided
with solutions. We can now work collaboratively
sometimes with our advisers and experts despite
our distance as long as we have an internet
connection.”

“Using the system, we were able to ace the

manuscript also passed the reviews of screening

our team was awarded as category champion in
the Research Fair 2020”. The system was a big
help for us as it was easy to use and was also
user friendly to those experts we would
communicate with.”

33. How was it using the LMS? (Experiences)
LMS
The LMS we are using was very simple, all you need is
to be familiar with Google office, which is almost the
same as Microsoft, and you can already make your
research paper. I can show my research manuscript to
people I know and immediately ask comments from
them. Everywhere we go, we can access our manuscript
and ask our classmates to peer review our work. The
system was also very easy to use, on my phone, I have
the application which I can open wherever I am while
traveling and waiting anywhere I can check the
improvements that my groupmates are contributing to
our manuscript.

implementation
36. We Recommend…
LMS
For administrators, the
system due to its
effective
implementation and
support in the
preparation of the
research manuscripts,
the LMS must be
introduced for use in
other subjects.
For the teachers, the
system must be further
evaluated with other
usability standards to
improve its overall
function so it may be
applicable for use in
other subjects.
For the students, the
system offered them
opportunities to
improve their research
capacity. Hence, they
are encouraged to
keep using the system
so their other tasks
will be made easier.

37. The Recommend…
LMS
For the parents, their assistance
and understanding are essential
to the development of their
children. Hence, they are
encouraged to continue
supporting their children,
especially in ensuring that
internet connections are at its
best so they can access the
system and work with their
researches and other projects
using it.
For future researchers, the
concept not covered in the
present study is encouraged for
them to explore possibilities,
especially in the Learning
Management System.

The Department of Education envisions each student in the Philippines to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to building the nation through scientific and technological innovations
Research is a holistic approach that, despite being perceived by students as hard, less interesting, and anxiety contributing, is vital to their development in a fast-paced and information-driven 4th Industrial Revolution
In the 4th IR, the populace is challenged to be equipped with capabilities of finding new concepts, changing learning ways, adapting to thinking patterns, and developing competencies allowing them to fulfill, refine and improve complex and high standard tasks and responsibilities, leading to innovations in various fields, all of which made possible by doing research
Having such considerations, DepEd made possible the Establishment of the Engineering and Science Education Program (ESEP) presently known (Science Technology and Engineering Program)
DepEd Memo No. 113 s. 2019 JHS and SHS students in different tracks are expected to complete their researches in maximum groups of (3)
