This presentation was delivered by our Chief Technology Officer Brendan Allman PhD at the International Security Expo in London in 2018. It discusses how our technology can upgrade existing security scanning machines by enhancing material discrimination capabilities to create safer and more secure checkpoints.

6. LXS Scanning is a technology venture and investment by an
international logistics and aviation business concerned with the
increasing sophistication required to screen commercial freight for safe
transportation.
Commencing in 2013 with a focused vision on the security space, LXS
has successfully undertaken development of next generation x-ray
photon counting system. The AXD product release is the outcome of the
investment and is ready for commercialisation.

12. New false alarm rate reduction
Eliminate complexity and narrow the search
LXS technology scans with greater
accuracy, allowing finer identification
of materials during scanning.
Traditional scanning methodology
produces broader, inaccurate results
that do not discern between Detasheet,
Semtex, and C4.

LXS is retrofitted to DE (Dual Energy), what is old becomes new. DE doesnât achieve the
desired security that CT does, eg FAR 40% vs 20% respectively. However, CT has a high
price tag.
