Subir Chowdhury is a leading quality expert who is recognized worldwide. But many Bangladeshis and even management students do not know about the Quality Guru. So our main purpose in this report is to show his contributions in quality management and leadership field. We also focused on three topics based on his four books- Robust Optimization, The Power of Six Sigma, and The Power for Six Sigma, Taguchi's Quality Engineering. Subir Chowdhury's Books mainly focused on Quality Assurance, Process control, Six Sigma implementation, leading for Quality. We found some gaps in the topics that we worked on. Successful Implementation of the theories in Bangladesh is rare because all the ideas are all developed based on US industries. Subir Chowdhury has man recognitions and honours in many fields, i.e., Quality, Engineering, leadership, thought management. From many interviews, Subir Chowdhury told that his lifetime mentor was his grandfather. His Academic mentor was Genichi Taguchi.

Chowdhury
• Born in Chittagong, Bangladesh; in 1967.
• Undergraduate degree in aeronautical engineering from the Indian
Institutes of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur, India.
• Graduate degree in industrial management from Central Michigan
University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
• He is currently the Chairman and CEO of ASI Consulting Group, LLC.
• A Quality Management Guru who has 15 books on quality
management and leadership and most of them are best selling books.

• He published his ideas in his first book named “QS-9000 Pioneers” in 1996 which he had co-authored with Ken
Zimmer.
• In his book “The Power of Six Sigma”, he has made complex topics of quality management very easy.
• Chowdhury has also authored fundamental books on business management and leadership such as Management 21C
and Organization 21C (guide, influence and help).
• He is the only person in the world who has co- authored three books with Dr. Genichi Taguchi, the quality legend of
the 20th century.
• In 2002, Chowdhury wrote two more books on Six Sigma
• LEO concept (listen, enrich and optimize)
• In his book titled “The Ice Cream Maker” Chowdhury introduced simple but revolutionary idea in the form of a novel.
