7. PROGRESS OF IMPORTANT TRACK WORK

8. TSR(P) BY PQRS
In Division, TSR (P) by 3 PQRS machine is in progress at 3 locations i.e. between PBN-MMR,
MUE-NED & PBN-PRLI sections. During the year total 50.0 Kms has been completed upto
15th Oct’2019 as against total target of 121 Kms.

9. DEEP SCREENING OF PLAIN TRACK AND POINTS & CROSSING BY BCM
MACHINE.
30 Kms plain track as against prop. target of 30 Kms and 20 P&Cs as against prop. target of
20 have been deep screened by BCM machine during the year up to 15th Oct’2019.

10. THROUGH FITTING RENEWAL
As a measure to enhance track condition, TFR along with Distressing is in progress
between MMR-PBN, MUE-PMKT & HNL-PAU sections. During the year 47.0 Kms is
completed upto 15th Oct’2019 as against total target of 90 Kms.

11. ELIMINATION OF LEVEL CROSSINGS
During the year 27 Manned LCs have been targeted for elimination by LHS. As on date
RCC Boxes have been inserted at 03 Manned Level crossings. Works are in progress at
balance LCs

12. THROUGH WELD RENEWAL
In order to enhance the safety of track, Through Weld Renewal by Mobile Flash Butt
Welding is commenced between MMR-PBN section. As on date 11.00 kms is
completed and further work is in progress
Reason for shortfall: Less progress due to deployment of one MFBWP machine by
ITC, Kanpur. A letter was addressed to ITC for arranging second MFBWP Machine
early to expedite progress

13. NI Work at WDN YARD
PQRS siding is commenced in WDN yard, where remodeling of yard is done duly
replacing 1 in 8.5 52kg old Turnout with new Turnout of 1 in 8.5 60kg and connected with
main line.

14. Road Over Bridge (ROB)
Road Over Bridge (ROB) of 4 lane & span 45.5m is sanctioned under deposit between
CTH-KMV section at Km 135/7-8. The work is executed by Maharashtra Industrial
Development Corpn, Mumbai. During the month, traffic block of 2.30hrs is availed for
four days for launching of twelve girders. Other track renewal works have been taken
under the shadow of this ROB block

15. REBUILDING OF BRIDGES
One Old Stone Culvert Bridge (STC) bridge has been rebuilded with RCC Box in
Manmad-Mudkhed Section.

16. TREE PLANTATION
In order to improve greenery, Mass Tree plantation about 1,40,000 no’s has been done in the
entire division upto 15th Oct’ 2019 as against target of 1,75,000 during the year.

17. NURSERY AT HINGOLI, JALNA & ADILABAD
To commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Nurseries at 3 stations in
Division i.e. Hingoli, Adilabad and Jalna stations adjacent to Railway track has been
developed.

18. 100 Ft Monumental flag
100 ft Monumental Flag has been commissioned in circulating area of Nanded Station.

19. Rain Water Harvesting Pits
Rain harvesting pits and ponds were made at maximum locations over the division to
improve ground water levels. Thus total 347 no’s have been made against total target of
300 no’s

20. Roof Top Rain Water Harvesting
Roof Top rain water harvesting structure is made in the division office building. In this
storm water collected on Roof Top of the building passes through three chamber for
filtration, after which this water is let into bore well pipes. This process have shown
improvement in recharging ground water.

25. Seminar on Implementation of C.S. 149 & 150 of IRPWM and
Derailment Investigation
Seminar on Implementation of C.S. 149 & 150 of IRPWM and Derailment Investigation was
conducted on dt:26.09.2019 at DTC/PAU. Sr.DSO/NED, ADENs, SSEs/Pway(incharge)
along with APWIs have attended the seminar to refresh the knowledge. Sri Chandrasekhar
SSE/P.Way/SC has delivered lecture on derailment investigation with case studies.
