The opening scene of Born of Hope establishes disequilibrium by showing a village under attack from monsters. A little girl named Maya witnesses her father being killed while trying to rescue her. The scene alternates between close-ups of the monsters and Maya's terrified face. It ends by shifting from this unexplained mystery and devastation to a state of equilibrium, as the music becomes calm and the camera shows green leaves and a flowing river. The woman from the beginning then continues speaking in the background.

I am going to analysis the opening scene of born of hope by
using as much techniques as possible such as Todorou like
equilibrium, disequilibrium, new equilibrium, audience theory and
Hermeneutic code.

3. Born of Hope is action/adventure and fantasy film where the film
is all about some population that live in the village are hoping
the village remains safe as they are isolated with sea-kings of the
ancient West.
A royal house endures unbroken from father to son.
The film start with a women speaking how the history of our life is
been changes in century. As she continue talking there is sound
of doors opening which is very loud. it progresses by changing
little light into dark. As the music continue we can see a sword
which has blood on it. A wind that is blowing a fire, the music
gets louder and scary as we saw monsters face through darkness
with little light at this point the camera is very close to monster as
we can see clearly his big eyes and mouth. After little while we
see that some village is burn down and people running as the
monsters attacking the people. The sky is surrounded with dark
clouds.

4. There is sound of horses running as the music continues louder with scary
tune. At the middle of nowhere there is little girl standing as the camera
moving over her shoulders and zoom in and out by seeing her
devastated face which shows her expression that she is extremely scared
and seeking help. The camera moves closer with some of the monsters as
he holding a sword which is floating by a blood. The camera fades in out
from dark to light by showing both angles from the little calling her dad
and the big monster with the sword that has blood on it. Man rescue the
girl before the monster wanted to cut off her head while she was calling
her Maya , unfortunately, another monster come behind the man and
attacked with the sword as the man fell on the ground while moaning
heavily. The music gets louder, as we can see that the is standing the
middle and watching with shocked feeling as the man ordered her to
run. While he is saying run Maya, we clearly see as the camera gets
closer to the monster as he has a big eyes which really scary while cuts
into slices into the man. The unexplained mystery continues, while it
changed disequilibrium to equilibrium states. The code changes from
scary and devastated mystery by seeing the light very clearly green leafs
that is growing and river that water is floating. music changes as now it
stays calmly as the women talking at the background.
