The Exeter City Futures programme centres on constantly asking interesting questions and defining challenges that focus on insights that show how we can deliver an energy independent and congestion free region.
The insights are generated from analysis of city data and continuous engagement with local communities and public sector organisations.
Data can enable change. By collecting and analysing data on a city and regional level, we can start to understand the impact we each have on the Exeter region and how we can influence, drive and believe in transformation.
We are developing educational programmes for schools and young people to help them explore the power of data and to enable them to analyse and create change for the Exeter region.
Once we identify the key challenges we want to solve our 15 week accelerator programme will help develop new products and services that can make a genuine and sustainable difference to transport and energy use in Exeter.
Exeter City Futures will nurture ideas with real potential beyond the 15 week accelerator programme to ensure that they progress to deliver impact on our energy and congestion goals.
With targeted support from expert mentors and close engagement with city procurement and planning teams, as well as customers and communities, we will help teams access investor networks and deliver impactful businesses at scale in Exeter and beyond.
