SERPs.

• Add the keyword “video” may help with getting found.
– Descriptive (easy to search for)
– Compelling (encourage people to watch it)

– Not to exceed 150 characters for the beginning of
the description (for SERPs)
– Link to website to be added in the first line of
description (before the “show more” overlay)
– Relevant keywords
• Video category
– Help relevancy (for both Google and Users)

– Can add annotations on videos to describe some
background information about the video(make it
more fun)
– Linking to other related videos

• Unique tags that include keywords
– Include brand, city and relevant topics
– Plural and singular keywords

• Adding transcripts as additional content
– Will get indexed by Google
– Improve ranking for targeted keywords and long-
tail keywords
– Improve engagement
– Helps viewers who are hearing impaired
– Translate to different languages
Social Media Shares
• Sharing videos or embedding it on other social
channels will help boost the views of these
videos.
– Viewers will view these videos without having to
visit our YouTube site.
– Strong social signals help to add authority
– Annotations in the video to encourage “like” or
“share”
– Embedding it on your blogs
