FUNCTIONAL SKILLS WITH EXPERIENCE
Involved in High-Voltage substation projects from green-field jobs, maintenance jobs, T&M & tight deadline outage
jobs.
Engineering Experience/Responsibilities – Development of one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC
schematics, bills of materials, connection diagrams for numerous devices within a substation; RTU edit
sheets and cable schedules. Performed DC load calculations for battery banks and conduit fill calculations
for control cable to devices throughout a substation.
Field Service Experience/Responsibilities- testing of 69kV-500kV breakers, CT’s, PT’s, and CCVT’s. Function
checks to verify wiring on protection and control panels; load checking to verify polarity and desired ratios
on CT’s. In-service load checks to ensure correct load flow and phasing. Generation of test plans for testing
of microprocessor based protective relays to verify functionality prior to in-servicing. Experienced in
operating various types of test equipment (Doble, Vanguard, Raytech, etc.). Performed end-to-end testing to
verify synchronization of relays at different substations.
Construction Experience/Responsibilities: Layout, set & pour/finish concrete for foundations of electrical
equipment & control houses. Erection of support steel & assembly of electrical equipment (switches,
breakers, dead-end structures, transformers, & other devices). Oversee the pulling of power/control cable to
respective equipment within the substation. Termination of control cable at panels in the control house and
junction boxes within the substation.
Well versed on the interpretation of construction package drawings and protection & control drawings/schematics.
