Dear Sigma Kappa Sorority:
As a new alumna of Sigma Kappa, my passion for the advancement of the sorority experience
for collegiate women is stronger than ever. I am interested in the position of a Leadership
Consultant for Sigma Kappa to motivate and empower this great organization’s young student
leaders and to work to strengthen our sisterhood on a national level. Last year, Christian Gamm,
National Vice President of Programming, emailed me to recommend that I apply to become a
Leadership Consultant. I was unable to apply last year, as I was not yet graduated; however, I
am graduating this December and would love the opportunity to represent Sigma Kappa on a
larger scale and spread my knowledge of the organization with Sigma Kappa’s chapter
collegiate officers.
I had the unique undergraduate experience of being elected as my chapter’s President, as well
as representing my chapter as the President of the College Panhellenic Council the following
year. Within these leadership roles, I worked to assess the organization’s strengths and
weaknesses, in order to propel the organization further. I pride myself on my ability to draft
creative solutions while also being open-minded in hearing the ideas of others. I love fostering a
sense of teamwork and cooperation amongst a group of leaders.
I am confident that my various collegiate experiences, in addition to my ever-growing love for
Sigma Kappa, have prepared me for the next step in my Sigma Kappa journey. I have the strong
communication skills and a positive mindset complementary to this position. I would love to be
able to share my experiences with the next generation of Sigma Kappa women, as well as see
them grow as leaders on their campuses, like I had the opportunity to do during my
undergraduate years. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sigma Love and Mine,
Eva Hughes
