Dear X:
Enclosed is a copy of my updated resume.
I am formerly Vice President and General Counsel for Brooks Brothers Group, Inc. As Vice President and
General Counsel, I established the Law Department at Casual Corner Group, Inc. (now Brooks Brothers
Group, Inc.) and recruited and trained more than 15 attorneys and paralegals. Over my 17 years, I was
instrumental in leading the Law Department in all legal aspects of the company including numerous
acquisitions and divestitures. Most recently, my team and I played a key role in expanding Brooks
Brothers globally.
My background includes drafting contracts, negotiations, franchising, real estate transactions including
purchases and complex leasing arrangements involving freestanding and shopping center locations, sale
of properties, office leases, construction, selection and management of outside counsel involving
litigation, business acquisitions and divestures, finance, general corporate law, trademarks, and
advertising. In all my assignments, I have also made significant contributions to the profitability of the
business.
I was in–house counsel for numerous team projects at Burger King Corporation including the acquisition,
construction, and financing of a world headquarters facility, as well as a public offering involving the sale
and leaseback of 129 properties, and a private offering of 49 properties. As Vice President of Business
Development, I successfully over-performed in the sale of company stores in fiscal years 1992-1995.
This position included P & L accountability.
As a major contributor to the development of an in-house law department at Burger King Corporation, I
recruited, hired and trained more than 40 attorneys and legal assistants. Further, I managed a staff of
30 and provided leadership in the standardization and revision of the company’s process and form
documents. In addition, as the department head of Business Development, I managed a staff of eight
MBA’s.
Should you have a current or anticipated requirement for an individual with my background, I would
appreciate hearing from you so we may further discuss my qualifications.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Eugene Feola
