Analyze and determine the most cost-effective crew movement process to ensure travel is scheduled within budgetary
limitations with minimal impact to shipboard operations. Provide data to senior management and Finance and make
recommendations based on analysis.
Authorize all travel requests and research/question all requests outside the confines of regularly planned movement.
Maintain documentation of travel movements to justify unplanned travel costs to Finance and Internal Auditors.
Ensure all airline tickets are ordered four (6) weeks in advance so that maximum advantage of contracted rates is
achieved
Analyze and report on itineraries which prove more costly and research alternative ports for cost-effective crew movement
Analyze and report on international travel and financial trends which potentially impact travel costs and budget
Analyze and report on all unused or returned airline tickets to determine associated costs or refunds due.
Track and ensure crew movement is taking place within the confines of the travel budget. Question the necessity of any
travel taking place outside of regularly planned movement.
Oversee implementation of MAPS to ensure proper use and functionality.
