2. ACADEMY OF COMMUNITY EDUCATION -
ACE
Not so long ago, the back to school
season was marked by a rush to purchase
notebook paper, binders, pens and
pencils. Today, at the Academy for
Community Education, mobile devices
are part of this year’s essential school
supplies. At the Academy for
Community Education (ACE), learning
is no longer restricted to the pedagogy
used by the teacher. Interactive and
adaptive software allows students to
learn in their own style, making learning
personal and engaging. In addition, new
learning technologies provide real time
data that gives teachers the information
they need to adjust instruction to meet
the unique needs of each student.
Learning is no longer restricted to the
pace of the entire classroom of students;
students who use the tablets are able to
learn at their own pace, spending more
or less time on lessons to achieve the
same level of learning. The use of mobile
devices at ACE affords teachers the
opportunity to provide personalized
guidance and assistance. Students learn
and stay on track to graduate from high
school and become College and Career
Ready.
At ACE, every day is
Digital Learning Day!
