The document discusses creating a brand identity for an artist's music. Key points:
- The artist uses themes and scenes from their music video in the album artwork and advertisements to create continuity across products.
- Images are edited in Photoshop and text added in Illustrator to design the CD cover and poster. Consistent fonts are used that fit the genre.
- Color, layout, and visual elements are deliberately chosen to make the products cohesive and eye-catching representations of the artist's brand.

CREATING A BRAND
I have then tried to create a similar combination to allow the themes to
run throughout my final products and create my own brand identity.

5. CREATING A BRAND
The music video, the album cover and the print By using the same scenes in the ancillary products as in my
ad all have a gothic gloomy feel to them. This music video, it creates continuity within the brand of the artist.
also works well in keeping consistency in genre
of the artist in my media products.
The first thing I have done to create my brand identity is using
themes and scenes from my final music video in the album
artwork and print ad.
6. CREATING A BRAND
To create my final image for my
ancillary products I edited my images
on Adobe Photoshop, I did this by
adding layers to create different effects
and chose the best one I felt worked
well with the genre of the music and to
fit best with my music video. This effect
will be represented throughout both my
ancillary products such as CD cover and
advertisement poster.
The filter used to create this effect was
‘Lighten’
After I had edited my images on Photoshop I then added
text using Adobe Illustrator, I used this programme
because it has a wide range of different fonts to choose from
rather than just added text on a Publisher document and it
allowed me to find the best font that worked well with the
image and the genre of music.
I used two different fonts on Illustrator – Georgia and
Edwardian Script ITC these fonts I felt worked well with the
genre and the gothic feel, the font I used for the artists
name is much plainer than the album name I didn’t want to
have too much of the same font going on because the artists
name wouldn’t stand out to the other text. I then used this
font on the back of the album cover for the producers name
and copyright text at the bottom. The curlier font I used for
the album name on the front of the CD cover and from the
song numbers on the back of the CD cover and also on the
poster.
7. CREATING A BRAND
Front of album cover
I have used the same fonts on
my different ancillary
products to make them a
more effective combination. I
chose the font that I felt goes
with the heartache genre of
the music on my final media
product. I tried to keep the
font to fit with the artist of
music and what genre she
works with. Poster
Back of album cover
The second font I used for
the artists name was plain
because I didn't want to
much clutter or too much
going on in the ancillary
products, which works well
with the simple mise-en-
scene used in the music
video.
