Experience and Qualities: I'm a punctual and reliable mechanical supervisor, whom
holds all the required skills to set-up and maintain equipment and organise a team of
varied trade groups. I am able to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments in a safe
and professional manner. I'm also an inspiring team leader and motivator with the
ability to think laterally to provide solutions, exercising independent judgment and
decision-making in the diagnosis and resolution of problems. I hold outstanding
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at
all levels which requires me to respect the full work force so the task can be
completed within the time provided. I would make an excellent member of a team to
provide a high standard service to your company and other client companies.
From my experience as a mechanical technician I have acquired skills and techniques
in various areas of my discipline which range from pump overhaul and laser
alignment to a wide range of different types of valve restoration, as well as general
maintenance on various plant equipment such as heat exchanger replacement and
pressure testing. I have undergone B.A training so I am able to carry out tasks on pipe
lines and plant equipment which store and transport harmful, toxic chemicals on tier 1
COMAH sites which helps me as a supervisor. Due to my supervision status I have to
meet the company’s requirements which involves attending update and planning
meetings on a daily basis whilst ensuring the work is being complete safely to a high
standard and in a timely manner. When operating as a supervisor I rely on my time
management skills and my ability to communicate with all whom are involved be it
verbally or electronically. I’m also a trained and validated task owner there for I’m
responsible for ensuring the complete delivery of all planned work. I ensure the task is
delivered from start to finish in a safe manner; I as task owner get involved in the
planning at a very early stage, so as to understand the full scope of work that is to be
undertaken. On a daily basis it is my responsibility to deliver work safely with
permitry and the forming of JSAs, risk assessments and job method statements.
