sugar, depending on the geography of its
production area. The sugar types we purchase
globally can be roughly classified as follows: 75%
beet sugar and 25% refined cane sugar.

3. Palm fruit oil, generally known as palm oil, is extracted by
pressing the pulp of the fruit of the oil palm tree (Elaeis
Guineensis) which grows in regions around the equator.
This tropical fruit is reddish in colour and is about the size
of a large olive.

4. Hazelnuts are the fruits of the Corylus avellana L., a tree
already well popular tens of centuries ago. In ancient
Roman times, it was a custom to donate hazel plants to
bring happiness. It was the same in France where the
plant was given as a wedding gift to symbolise fertility.

5. Did you know that Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) means "Food of
the Gods"? The Aztecs regarded cocoa as a sacred plant.
Although Theobroma cacao surely originated in South America,
the tree is now cultivated in tropical areas in the world.
