covering the flights of
astronauts Alan Shepard
and John Glenn. He
worked as the public
relations official during
the early manned space
flights and was there when
all the astronauts were
launched to the moon in
the Apollo program.
He was the spokesman
for the astronauts
and rocket scientist
Wernher von Braun,
the father of America’s
moon rocket. He is
the founder of Space Camp and the U. S. Astronaut Hall of
Fame and author and creator of “The REAL Space Cowboys.”
He has produced space flight specials for television and has
appeared on NBC, ABC, CBS, BBC television and Late Night with
David Letterman.
Mr. Buckbee speaks in locations around the globe and continues to
maintain a relationship with all of America’s pioneering astronauts.
