INTRODUCTION
 The Fractal robots are a set of uniform electronic cubes which
are functioned by an OS (operating system).
 The principle behind Fractal robot is very simple. You take
some cubic bricks made of metals or plastic motorize
them,put some electronics inside them & control them with a
computer
 Fractal robots are the hardware equivalent of computer
software
Importance of the topic
 While this technology has the potential to penetrate
every field of human work like construction, research,
medicine and others
 Fractal robots can allow buildings to be built within a
day, and also help you to perform sensitive medical
operations to assist in laboratory experiment
CONSTRUCTION
 Can be made flexible and possible as it is made
from metals and plastics which are very cheap in the
market .but also from ceramics and clay which are
environmentally friendlier
 Each of these plates have electrical contact pads
 The plates also have 45 degree petals that push out
the surface to engage The neighbouring face
allowing one robotic cube to lock to its adjacent cube
 A 3D rendered image of what the fractal robots Looks
like
 The petals are moved in and out of the slots with aid of the
motor .Each petal could be driven directly by single motor
Or as pair
 The petals have Serrated edges and can engage to the
neighbouring cubes through 45 degree slots

MOVEMENT
MECHANISM
 IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTER CONTROL
 command for control a fractal are all Commands such as move
left or right ,hence computer program to control the robot is
greatly simplified in that whatever software that is developed for
a large scale ,it applies for small scale without modification to the
command structure
 Largest component here is software because fractals are shape
changing robots
 SELF REPAIR
 The easiest way of self repair is cube replacement
 These images shows how a walking machine which has lost a leg
rebuilds itself by Shifting cubes around its body
 LIMITATIONS
 Technology is still in fancy
 Current cost is very high
 Needs very precise and flexible controlling software
 APPLICATION
 Bridge building
 Fire fighting
 Entering building’s
 Defence technology
 Earthquake application
 Medical Application
 Space exploration
CONCLUSION
 It may take about 1 to2 years for this technology to
be introduced and tried out all over the world. But
once the first step is taken and its advantages well
understood it will not take much time for it to be
used in our everyday life.
 Using Fractal Robots will help in saving economy
,time etc and they can be used even for the most
sensitive tasks. so the raw materials needed are
cheap, making it affordable for developing nations
also. This promises to revolutionize technology in a
way that has never been witnessed before
