2. Lesson learned from the Book of James
1. If I lack wisdom, I should ask God who gives to all liberally, but when I ask, I
should ask with no doubts, for if I doubt am like a wave of the sea driven and
tossed by wind, and I will not receive anything from the Lord; I will be a double
minded man, unstable in all my way.
2. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved
he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised for the one who
loved him. I should strive for the crown that God has promised for me.
3. 3. Blessed is the man who endures, God does not tempted anyone, never say that
God is tempting you, for God cannot be tempted by evil. But I am tempted when I
draw away from God.
4. I should be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man
does not produce the righteousness of God.
5. I should be a doer of the word and not a hearers only.
4. 6. What does it profit if I say I have faith but I don’t have work? will that faith save
me?
7. My faith should have work, because without work is dead/profitless. A man is
justified by works and not by faith only.
8. I should be careful with my tongue, even though it’s a small member of my
body. the tongue is fire, see how great a forest a little fire kindles!
With it we bless God and father and with it we curse men who
have been made in the similitude of God.
5. 9. Where there is envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are
there.
10. The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to
yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
11. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
6. 12. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because
you ask a miss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. I have to be careful when
I ask, so that when I ask something from God, I should not ask it in a wrong way
that will impend God to answer my request.
13. “God resist the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
14. For me to overcome whatever battle that am facing, I must submit to God, I
must resist the devil and he will flee from me.
7. 15. Draw near to God and and He will draw near to you. Clean your hands you
sinners; and purify your heart, you double-minded.
16. If I humble myself in the sight of the Lord, He will lift me up.
17. The prayer of a righteous man is effective, fervent and it avails much.
8. When we pray we must pray earnestly!
Thank you!
The end!
