3. DSPGeo Stack 2D produces
stacked seismic sections
based on the Common-
Reflection-Surface (CRS)
method, which allows one
to produce improved results
over the traditional
common-midpoint (CMP)
method.
The strength of CRS based
methods is on the fact that they
use a larger number of traces
per stacked trace than the CMP
method, together with the
information of the geological
structure, which allows one to
obtain seismic sections with
higher signal-to-noise ratio. This
is particularly interesting in
scenarios where the seismic fold
is low or the signal-to-noise ratio
of the pre-stack data is poor,
which imposes great challenge
on imaging using the CMP
method.

DSPGeo Data Enhancement 2D
Lite is a new product from
DSPGeo designed to enhance
the signal-to-noise ratio and to
regularize prestack data traces.
This product uses the Common-
Offset Common-Reflection-
Surface (CO CRS) operator.
Moreover, DSPGeo Data
Enhancement 2D Lite uses
artificial intelligence to recover
and enhance the quality of your
pre-stack data.
5. In 2013, the researchers decided
to understand better how they
could take these solutions to the
market. In May 2014, DSPGeo
was officially founded. In that
year, the company was selected
to be accelerated within an
official government program
called StartUp Brazil. DSPGeo’s
first tool was released in May
2015 and since then it has been
used by important companies
such as Flamoil and INA.
DSPGeo founders first met
in 2011 on a major R&D
project that involved the
University of Campinas
(UNICAMP) and Petrobras
(Brazil O&G Company).
Rapidly, the group has
managed to propose
solutions with significant
technical improvement.
