Candidate Statement
We live in a knowledge economy, an information society: a Digital Age where the
content is at our fingertips. What professional learning for educators needs to do to
meet data-informed 21st Century leadership deficits, is focus on the thinking skills,
the higher order cognitive processes that turn research into action (Doe, 2011). To
create capacity for a performance and development culture where higher order
thinking and project-based, ‘purpose-fit’ solutions are modelled for a STEAM
paradigm, teacher leader capability must be built through reciprocal accountability
(Elmore, 2015).
My extensive experience as a professional learning consultant, across the full range
of Education school, system and sector contexts is based on an in-depth knowledge
and practical application of research in design, development delivery and evaluation.
The expertise I bring to the leadership and management of a team is significant in its
proven enhancement and or generation of a professional learning community who
themselves become the expert team, engaging in research and evaluation of
findings through feedback and reflection to inform practice. Consistently,
participants transition from change agents to agents for change who, regardless of
age, gender or experience, innovate solutions that leverage pedagogy to access
technology, and maximise learner outcomes with moral purpose.
As Principal Consultant of www.tinadoe.com, I have been engaged by Training
Organisations, Schools, Education Districts and Universities globally to work with
executive leadership and middle management and teacher groups to ensure shared
vision and a through line to data-driven impact evidence. Twenty years of leadership
testimonials, ranging from Deputy Principal, Sunshine Beach State High School
through Associate Head of School, Education, Charles Darwin University, and small
business owner, attest that teams formed are self-sustaining; distributed leadership
is empowered through action research using blended learning platforms and latest
tools and transparent quality assurance processes and accurate recording and
reporting protocols are practiced.
My doctoral research resulted in a Leadership Model: ST2P, (Make Space, Take
Time, Find Pace and Adjust Place) that underpins all professional learning and
initiatives I lead and action. ST2P is transferable to one-on-one coaching and
conflict resolution situations and can be used as a quality assurance measure in the
demonstration of success criteria across the numerous aspects of the role as leader,
facilitator, coach and mentor. Further, ST2P is an excellent model for ensuring
strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building and maintenance, a
particular expertise of mine as demonstrated through my many examples of
university pathway articulation.

I am committed to working across the Australian teacher workforce to rebuild kudos
for the teaching profession and the status of teaching as a desired career for the top
high school graduates. I model an action research methodology that involves
individual and group problem-solving on projects and this is reflected in the research
articles that teachers and leaders I mentor are beginning to publish. I inspire
innovation through change agendas that achieves the tipping point, placing
leadership findings into immediate practice to enhance teacher capability and
student engagement and outcomes.
Since 2015, I have also held the positions of Managing Editor, Primrose Hall
Publishing Group Australian Division and Editor of the International Journal of
Innovation, Creativity and Change and am a recognised expert and emerging
researcher, coach and mentor in the design, development, delivery, facilitation and
evaluation of professional learning. If appointed, I intend to maintain a research and
writing profile however would relinquish the above roles as required.
I would describe myself as globally aware with a strong social and environmental
conscience. I have travelled widely and live a work ethic that permeates my Catholic
Italian Immigrant family. A proactive member of any group I lead and or manage, I
balance this with humility and an inquiry approach that inspires mastery, autonomy
and purpose (Pink, 2014). The teams I lead and work within, both interdependently
and independently, are collaborative and outcomes focused; find their expert voice
are modelled exceptional interpersonal communication skills and expected to
demonstrate these attributes in turn. I underpin and audit all leadership initiatives
using the Australian Professional Standards, expecting active contribution to the
organisation, the profession and the wider community.

  • 2. www.tinadoe.com tina@tinadoe.com 1300 826 417 P.O. Box 100, Peregian Beach, Qld 4573 2 Candidate Statement We live in a knowledge economy, an information society: a Digital Age where the content is at our fingertips. What professional learning for educators needs to do to meet data-informed 21st Century leadership deficits, is focus on the thinking skills, the higher order cognitive processes that turn research into action (Doe, 2011). To create capacity for a performance and development culture where higher order thinking and project-based, ‘purpose-fit’ solutions are modelled for a STEAM paradigm, teacher leader capability must be built through reciprocal accountability (Elmore, 2015). My extensive experience as a professional learning consultant, across the full range of Education school, system and sector contexts is based on an in-depth knowledge and practical application of research in design, development delivery and evaluation. The expertise I bring to the leadership and management of a team is significant in its proven enhancement and or generation of a professional learning community who themselves become the expert team, engaging in research and evaluation of findings through feedback and reflection to inform practice. Consistently, participants transition from change agents to agents for change who, regardless of age, gender or experience, innovate solutions that leverage pedagogy to access technology, and maximise learner outcomes with moral purpose. As Principal Consultant of www.tinadoe.com, I have been engaged by Training Organisations, Schools, Education Districts and Universities globally to work with executive leadership and middle management and teacher groups to ensure shared vision and a through line to data-driven impact evidence. Twenty years of leadership testimonials, ranging from Deputy Principal, Sunshine Beach State High School through Associate Head of School, Education, Charles Darwin University, and small business owner, attest that teams formed are self-sustaining; distributed leadership is empowered through action research using blended learning platforms and latest tools and transparent quality assurance processes and accurate recording and reporting protocols are practiced. My doctoral research resulted in a Leadership Model: ST2P, (Make Space, Take Time, Find Pace and Adjust Place) that underpins all professional learning and initiatives I lead and action. ST2P is transferable to one-on-one coaching and conflict resolution situations and can be used as a quality assurance measure in the demonstration of success criteria across the numerous aspects of the role as leader, facilitator, coach and mentor. Further, ST2P is an excellent model for ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building and maintenance, a particular expertise of mine as demonstrated through my many examples of university pathway articulation.
  • 3. www.tinadoe.com tina@tinadoe.com 1300 826 417 P.O. Box 100, Peregian Beach, Qld 4573 3 I am committed to working across the Australian teacher workforce to rebuild kudos for the teaching profession and the status of teaching as a desired career for the top high school graduates. I model an action research methodology that involves individual and group problem-solving on projects and this is reflected in the research articles that teachers and leaders I mentor are beginning to publish. I inspire innovation through change agendas that achieves the tipping point, placing leadership findings into immediate practice to enhance teacher capability and student engagement and outcomes. Since 2015, I have also held the positions of Managing Editor, Primrose Hall Publishing Group Australian Division and Editor of the International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change and am a recognised expert and emerging researcher, coach and mentor in the design, development, delivery, facilitation and evaluation of professional learning. If appointed, I intend to maintain a research and writing profile however would relinquish the above roles as required. I would describe myself as globally aware with a strong social and environmental conscience. I have travelled widely and live a work ethic that permeates my Catholic Italian Immigrant family. A proactive member of any group I lead and or manage, I balance this with humility and an inquiry approach that inspires mastery, autonomy and purpose (Pink, 2014). The teams I lead and work within, both interdependently and independently, are collaborative and outcomes focused; find their expert voice are modelled exceptional interpersonal communication skills and expected to demonstrate these attributes in turn. I underpin and audit all leadership initiatives using the Australian Professional Standards, expecting active contribution to the organisation, the profession and the wider community.
