INTRODUCTION
The Professional People Development Academy (PPDA) utilizes the Neetling Brain Instruments (NBI) that strives to
develop Eight Dimensional thinking in individuals and companies.
The assessment tools will assist you develop strategies to sustain creativity and positive thinking in your personal and
professional life.
You will also be able to identify the essence of your problems and apply creative solutions immediately.
HOW WAS THE NBI DEVELOPED?
The NBI was developed after almost 30 years of extensive international research on left and right brain functions.
The instruments were developed by Dr. Kobus Neetling, under the research guidance of professor Paul Torrance
of the University of Georgia. Initially developed for adults, the NBI has been expanded to include a number of other
whole-brain instruments that are tailored to suite children, young adults, sport people and business people. Ongoing
Research at a number of universities and institutes remains an integral part of the NBI.

Eight Dimensional Profiling In Business Is The Process Of Developing A Profile (-s) Of A Person’s Thinking Processes.
The Thinking Processes Of A Person Influence The Following:
• A Person’s Productivity And Performance;
• The Quality And Accuracy Of The Person’s Work;
• How The Person Works/functions In A Team;
• The Manner In Which The Person Will Interact With Colleagues And Handle Conflict In The Workplace.
It Is Also Possible To Identify Areas Required To Ensure That The Person Will Function Optimally In His/her
Position/job.
The Process Includes The Following:
Development Of An Eight Dimensional Profile
This Profile Provides An Indication Of The Person’s Thinking Preferences. The Importance Of The Results Of This

• How The Person’s Thinking Preferences Fit The Thinking Preferences Of The Particular Post.
• If The Gaps Are Identified Between The Above Mentioned Thinking Preferences Of The Person And That Of

Ensure That The Person Will Function Optimally In The Particular Position?
• Does The Person Really Fit The Particular Position?
Development Of A Skills Profile
This Profile Measures The Skills Of A Person Acquired Over A Period Of Time. The Results Of This Profile Are
Measured Against The Eight Dimensional Profile And That Of The Requirements Of The Particular Position/job.
The Results Of This Profile Will Confirm/determine The Areas For Further Development.
Development Of A Personal Negativity Profile
This Profile Measures The Personal Negativity Levels Of A Person. For Any Business It Is Critical To Identify The
Reasons For A Person’s Negativity Levels As It Will Have An Influence On The Company Performance Or Service
Delivery. The Importance Of The Results Of This Profile Is:
• To Determine The Specific Areas Wherein The Person Is Negative And To Link It To The Requirements Of
The Particular Position/job.
• That It Provides The Employer Information To Assist The Employee, Take The Necessary Steps To Change
Some Of The Person’s Job Requirements Or Place The Person On The Company’s Employment Assistance
Programme.
These Profiles Can Be Completed On-line And In The Person’s Own Time. The Entire Process Will Take
Approximately 30 Minutes Per Profile And The Initial Report Is Available Immediately. The Employer Can Also Do
The Succession Planning Of Each And Every Employee Based On Scientific Facts. This Will Also Ensure The
Proper Allocation Of Funds Towards Training And Development.
