2. Introduction
• With an MD from the Duke University School of
Medicine, board-certified anesthesiologist Dr. Bruce
Hugh Dorman has more than 30 years of experience
treating patients. Over the course of his career as an MD,
Dr. Bruce Hugh Dorman has maintained memberships
in several professional organizations, including the
Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA).
As part of its work to enhance the knowledge and skill of
its members, the SCA oversees a variety of educational
programs and events. Currently, the organization is
preparing to host its 39th Annual Meeting and
Workshops, which will be held April 22-26, 2017, at the
Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando.

3. Society of Cardiovascular
Anesthesiologists
• Attendees of the five-day event will have the opportunity
to take part in a number of educational activities,
including lectures, workshops, symposia, and problem-
based learning discussions. The program will focus on
heart failure management, mechanical circulatory
support, cardiac protection, and a range of topics related
to cardiovascular anesthesiology.
In addition to the various educational activities, the
meeting will feature an exhibit hall and networking
events such as the SCA Foundation Back to Our Future
Gala, which will be held on Sunday, April 23. For more
