A neurosurgeon with more than four decades of experience, Dr. Donald R. DeFeo obtained his
medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, and later served as an
assistant clinical professor of neurosurgery at the university. Dr. Donald R. DeFeo belongs to a
number of organizations in the medical field, including the American Association of Neurological
Surgeons (AANS). The AANS will host its upcoming 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting in April.
3. American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual
Meeting
AANS’ Annual Scientific Meeting will showcase the latest advancements in neurosurgical science and
practice. The event’s theme, Neurosurgery: A World of Innovation, puts technological and educational
breakthroughs at the forefront, and attendees can participate in a variety of workshops and
presentations that feature much of this new knowledge. Hosted activities range from social events and
networking opportunities to keynote talks and continuing medical education credit classes. In addition,
the Annual Scientific Meeting will feature the International Symposium and the Spetzler Symposium.
4. American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual
Meeting
Registration rates vary according to a number of factors, including membership with the AANS,
student status, and medical affiliation, with members of the European Association of Neurosurgical
Societies among those receiving a discounted registration. The 2017 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting
will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California on April 22 through April 26.
